The Serie A scudetto race is over but this may be good news for the league in the long run. Serie A can't seriously compete in the CL without strong Milano clubs. The current Ac Milan club is very young, The Big Kurazz is a decade older than everyone else.

This Tuesday: Juventus vs Milan - focal point, CR7 vs Alessio Romagnoli.

LMAO, Barcelona want to buy Romagnoli, that would cost them plenty! Since Kjaer came in, he and Il Capitan have clicked instantly, Milan hasn't lost since.

Welcome to Barcelona...yeah ok.

Romagnoli is a monster, four years younger and already better than van Dijk.

I have watched quite a few Inter games, to see how Eriksen would do.

I am disappointed in Inter. They have many excellent players, but their game is not reflecting the quality of players.

Is Conte not as good as his reputation?

I don't think it's Conte's fault, Inter brought too many to players in all at once. Eriksen was brought in to take Stefano Sensi's spot on the club. When Sensi was healthy, they were a well oiled muscle car. Eriksen isn't the firebrand Sensi is, they play different games. It also didn't help that Barella was out on suspension. Look at what's happening to Roma without Zaniolo.

And Inter don't have a leader like Milan does. Kjaer must have been pinching himself knowing he was going to line up with Il Capitan. Against Lazio, Milan played a three man defense with Kjaer as the stopper. Immobile was out, it was a good risk with Romagnoli out on the left to stop any potential counter-attacks. He is also the interim Captain of the Azzurri, until Chiellini makes his decision. I expect he'll be made permanent Captain when the Euros come around.

Holly Shit, Zaniolo is back!

I dunno about that
I do, van Dijk spent a great deal of time on his heels against Napoli. He nearly tore his groin out in the second leg. De Ligt is closing the gap, he's now mastered the stopper position. With Chiellini and Demiral out with injury he had no choice. It would have been brutta figura if he became an expensive flop.

CR7 vs Romagnoli, la svida di giganti. Look for No. 13.

You're basing vDijk's abilities on 1 game?? vDijk plays in THE toughest league in the world, Romagnoli does not.
Apples and oranges, my friend.

vDijk = ?

van Dijk looked out of sorts in the first leg as well, he's vulnerable to the high press. My memory is fuzzy, it wasn't an own goal. van Dijk gt pinched by Ruiz and Mertens. The Dutchman was attempting to clear the ball when Ruiz closed him down. The ball went to Mertens who passed it to Lliorente for the second goal.

Atalanta can beat Liverpool.

Ac Milan 4 Juventus 2...easy money.

Tribute to local lad Ennio Morricone before the start of the match with Deborah's Theme from Once Upon a Time in America.

Is Rafael Leao, CR7's true successor?

CR7 put too much pressure on Andre Silva, proclaiming his his successor. It was a shoot, Silva is still Milan property currently on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Milan manager Pioli rested Leao against Lazio, it was a risk. He also used the three man defense, with Immobile out it worked for him. Against Juve they reverted to the four man defense, Dybala could find no space. Andrea Conti is like De Sciglio, extremely talented but brittle, he had the CR7 assignment with Romangnoli backing him up. Juve are a different club when De Sciglio plays, he wasn't - advantage Milan. As Rick Jianneret would say, Milan look scary good.

One blemish for Milan, Kjaer could be out of the next match. He ran interference on Douglas Costa while Romagnoli made the clearance - right into his schnazz.

Inter nearly took another quattro cazzi.

If Barella is out for a significant period of time they are in serious trouble. Eriksen is useless without him. Their cause isn't helped by a resurgent Milan.

Maybe Eriksen should have stayed in England or gone to Germany. He does not show much emotion, and will never look like a fiery Italian.

Maybe, Eriksen looked sharp in the 6-0 over Brescia with Barella in the lineup. The difference between him and Sensi, the Italian makes Lukaku's role much easier. Eriksen doesn't cover for the point man very well.

Eriksen is a good player, with great dead ball ability and a phenomenal eye for creating chances for the forwards.

But I think Conte wants him to show more "commitment", "urgency" or what ever he calls it in Italian, even if it is just for show. And that is not Eriksen.

Some people in North America had the same complaint about me, when I was in business.

I don't believe you Dane, you have plenty of anima. Which is what Conte wants from Eriksen.

Danmand, do you agree with this list? I've never seen No. 1, all I know about him is he was the captain when Denmark defeated Italy in Bologna in 1981. Final score 3 - 1.

I did not follow them all, there was a long time when I was too busy with my career to watch soccer.

I have most admiration for the Laudrup dynasty. They were all such elegant technical players.

When I was a child I watched Finn Laudrup play on the National team.

His sons Michael Laudrup and Brian Laudrup had great careers, and some of their children also, Nicolai Laudrup, Mads Laudrup and Andreas Laudrup.

Here is a longer list, that still like the video short changes the old danish players from the 40', 50' and 60'

The danish fodbold hall of fame pays tribute to some of the old timers also, some of which played in Seria A:

Middelboe (1908–1920)S. Nielsen (1908–1919)P. Nielsen (1910–1925)S. Hansen (1911–1920)C. Hansen (1918–1921)Jørgensen (1925–1939)E. Nielsen (1940–1951)Lundberg (1943–1956)Præst (1945–49)Pedersen (1953–64)H. Nielsen (1959–60)
Røntved (1970–82)Simonsen (1972–86)Arnesen (1977–87)Elkjær (1977–88)Lerby (1978–89)M. Laudrup (1982–98)B. Laudrup (1987–98)Schmeichel (1987–2001)

The danish soccer team won bronze in London 1948, and several of the players went to Italy to play in Seria A,.Oneplayer that did not go to Italy was Knud Lundberg, who wrote the books in Danish about soccer strategy etc. He was an MD an influential sports editor. He pretty much invented handball.
As a student in Copenhagen, I reserved a table at the Royal Library to study. You could reserve a table and keep your books etc. there. Many authors used this option. It so happened that my table was just next to Knud Lundbergs, which was a pretty great thing for me at the time. Imagine sitting next to Pirlo every day for a semester.

Sunday 3:45 pm Napoli vs Ac Milan

Milan went from a pension to a nursery club, Romagnoli is the forth oldest player on the club at 25. They took the pain while the core of the club developed. Another one of their cherubs in Belgian (sp) Alexis Saelemaekers. They're going to be in tough against Napoli's heavy defense.
