It's estimated that the average person in a major metropolitan city spends close to 7 years in their lifetime waiting in line (traffic lights, cash register, restaurant, barbor shop/salon etc.)

Yes, there are thousands of products a handicapped person could use and or purchase at Home Depot. That isn't the point. The point is the vast majority of the products are NOT geared towards someone that is so physically challenged that they require a spot close to the door.

You have yet to answer my question: if they can't walk across the parking lot, how are they going to walk the store?
I know someone with a very painful bone condition in their feet. They can walk, but if they can walk X feet to get something done instead of 2X feet, they will take the handicapped spot and save the walking. (They have the tag.)

Your view is that if they can walk the store, they should be made to walk the parking lot too. It kind of misses the whole point of giving them a spot close to the door, to make it easier for them to do their shopping.

I'll shut the fuck up now.

There was no point in escalating it, and I have no idea who you would call to ticket him. Probably bylaw enforcement, but by the time they got there (next week) he'd be gone.
The store manager perhaps?

Sorry, you misunderstood me, I never ONCE said they should be made to walk the parking lot too and I never ONCE said there shouldn't be any handicapped spots at Home Depot type stores.

BTW: the same argument could be said for contractor only parking spots seeing as how we're working harder than most and are walking that extra distance many times a day/week. Since we're doing it so often shouldn't OUR job be made easier instead of harder also?

I have a perfectly fit but very lazy friend who uses his dad's car with handicap sticker to park in the handicap spots and I warn him that he is tempting fate and if he keeps doing it one day karma will make sure he needs that spot...

Not only is he tempting fate, and karma, but he's breaking the law. If the disabled person is not in the vehicle, it's illegal to use the disabled spot.

*As an aside, many seemingly healthy people can use the spots (provided they have the sticker), they could have a heart or lung condition (for example) that prevents them from walking long distances. In other words, an unseen malady.
