Man, I used to love this show.

Back in my university days, I think pretty much every guy I knew watched this show. Hell, we used to tape it just to watch the babes with the see through tops parade down the catwalk. Got to know the likes of Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, et al through FT.

Always guaranteed to see some nip or ass or better yet.

We used to joke that Ford and Chevy should have been buying commercial time and not cosmetics and crap like that.

When you were 20 years old - FT was always a good time.

Alas, like Ed the Sock, it is no more. They had a good run though.

I went to high school with Jeannie Becker. Total stuck up b**ch! At least she was back then. She started her career by starring in a teenage CBC series called Toby. Anyone remember that?

I went to high school with Jeannie Becker.
How hot was she back then? Was she into see-through clothing
fashion in high school? Was she without a bra all the time?

My apology for being full of questions.

Nope. I did not find her hot. I didn't even think she's remotely good looking!

Petzel,

I heard a story about the time you got up the nerve to ask Jeannie out. When you got over to her house you found her father plotting to rob the Gotham bank, so you pummeled him into a whimpering heap. That finished off your chances with Jeannie and as you went home you threw the condom that was in your pocket out on the street, but Batman was driving by and saw this and reminded you that you had to be a responsible citizen and not throw trash on the street.

Holy Sheisse, Batman!

The Toby (TV series), was in 1968! TV was invented back then?

I like brutally thin chicks, but not FT.

Ed the sock however... nice.

Yep! 98% of the student body were jewish so the school would unoffically close for the jewish holidays. It wasn't worth keeping it open for the other 2%.
There seem to be a number of alumni here. LOL

I miss Ed the Sock. His latest foray into television a la "Mystery Theatre 2000" was really cheesy, but I loved it.

I don't have much to say about Jeannie Becker. Good for her for getting 27 years out of that show - amazing really.

I guess with the death of FT, pretty much every one of Moses Znaimer's ground breaking TV shows is gone. NOW THAT IS A TRAGEDY.

CITY TV used to the be best. Completely Toronto centric, with unique thought provoking programing. Shows like FT, The New Music, Sex Television, Queer Television, Book Television, Media Television = all gone. Even Ed the Sock and Speaker's Corner are fucking gone. Now City TV is just a steaming pile of lowest common denominator shit like everything else. Bring on Dog the Fucking Bounty Hunter. That's what City TV has been reduced to.
