Rogers Centre getting demolished....finally

Vlady is going to want to play on artificial turf forever.

The Calgary Flames have pulled out of the deal with the city over a new hockey arena. The cost of construction has risen by over $150 million, the initial estimate was way too low. The Flames want the same sweetheart deal Daryl Katz got, he paid $132 million for Rogers Place while the city forked over $485 million.

Imagine if both owners had asked for a new arena when Alberta was going through it's economic boom from the oil sands. The arena would've been half the price and they would've had a better chance at getting them with very little cost

I read they wanna build a smaller stadium and have some condos.

if they build buildings on that land...that's more money than seasonal tickers
