I wish they would release the details. How can the fans and even the media make a decision without ANY information? We live in an open society and condemning an individual away from the public scrutiny is third world fascist bullshit.
No it's not.

You think you have the right to know why every corporation fires a board member, CEO or celebrity spokesperson? You don't.

It's private business, not a public trial.

I think you're comments completely ignore the times that we are living in right now. Due process has been thrown out the window with the baby's bath water. Remember this is the same organization that moved the all star game out of Georgia based upon woke left lies and distortion.
The same board member who sympathizes with voter suppression and discrimination against the Black voter also supports the stalker / rapist / woman-beater or whatever awful thing RA did.

You realize Zauno was let go for simple crude comments telling girls how hot they looked in their skirts, dont you??
The only reason Jays didnt remove Zaun's number is because he was never good enough to get his number retired......LOL
Canning Zaun was simply "bad work colleague / poisoned work environment" stuff. You're an asshole at work, the boss may well fire you. For one thing, hoofing your ass probably saves a HR board complaint and a lot of bad gossip.

Cutting ties with the franchise's major link to its glory days and its one, sole HoF member and publicly condemning him is pretty major stuff. That's a lot different that "Zauny's the office douche, so they didn't renew his contract."

So what were the other individuals placed on the list for? You know making them ''bad'' company and all.
Oracle, you're a capable fellow.

I would've thought you could find Mike Wilner's column without my assistance.
But, to save you the effort (no Googling required)......

from the article:

...Alomar is only the sixth person to be placed on that list in the last 25 years. The others are former Cincinnati Reds owner Marge Schott (for repeated slurs against Black Americans, Jews, Asians and homosexuals), former Mets pitcher Jennry Mejia (who tested positive for illegal performance-enhancing drugs three times in a year), former St. Louis scouting director Chris Correa (for hacking into the Astros’ scouting database), former Atlanta general manager John Coppolella (who circumvented the rules for signing international free agents), and former Astros assistant GM Brandon Taubman (for inappropriate comments to female reporters regarding Roberto Osuna in the Houston clubhouse)...

Sure, except you have no idea what Alomar did, or didnt do wrong.

You claim to be a lawyer, and yet you have no idea what happened.

But based on all the information you have so far, you conclude Alomar is guilty (of something)????
And if he is guilty, what is he guilty of???

whatever the offense may be, there is purportedly a victim here. Her rights trump fans wish for information that is frankly irrelevant to them. Putting our fan hat aside Alomar’s banishment likely doesn’t change any of our lives in any way. The details you want probably do have a major impact on the victim’s life so fans are owed no further information.
It doesn’t sound like Alomar is putting up any strong resistance to the accusations so that might tell us all we need to know. He may not be completely guilty but he doesn’t sound completely innocent either.

Some might say Robby is a public figure. On the other hand, the victim is probably not a public figure. Maybe just tell us what Robby did that is so terrible. Don't identify the victim.

I started a thread on General Vance and it seemed to have died due to lack of interest so maybe nobody cares about a baseball player either.

And yet so many allegations of sexual misconduct. Kobe Bryant, Doug Gilmour, Robby Alomar, Jake Virtanen, etc. Who's next?
Who knows the real truth? Allegations may or may not be true. What's the Doug Gilmour story?

I guess MLB must have thought Osuna was a victim as opposed to a wife beater?

I support voter id laws and due process like a sane rational human being should. If you're against that you don't belong in a civil society.

Mary Pierce I believe.........
That was the craziest story. I remember it well. I remember discussing it on this forum. 2009- some massage therapist he dated from New York City accused him of not disclosing his HIV status and sued Alomar for mental distress, and for putting her and her son at risk. Settled out of court, gag order settlement, nobody speaks... poof story just disappears.

2010- some swimsuit model girlfriend he had in Puerto Rico said the exact same thing almost word for word. Settled out of court, gag order, poof story just disappears.

And then I remember hearing about this tennis player you mentioned.... the same sort of scenario. Next thing you know he’s married at the Toronto art gallery, and has a child through this, and I thought possibly all of those stories were bullshit. Apparently he was suffering greatly physically when he played for the Mets and he took a leave of absence to realize he had full-blown AIDS. And I remember hearing somehow someway he got raped by these men outside some baseball complex in the minors or something?? This information literally is mostly by memory... it’s not so easy to find. It’s not even on Wikipedia. And when you can dig on Google and find stuff that you remember from 11 years ago, but you can’t find anything else because of gag orders and blocking wiki... well this is things that make you say “hmmmmm.”

Who knows what’s real and what’s not. I just know these were all some crazy stories for Roberto Alomar.
