Roberta Flack, one of the great singers from the 1970s has passed. Younger members may not know her, but she was a great singer. This makes me sad. She made some excellent music.

I only recently found out that Killing Me Softly was by Roberta Flack originally. I always thought it was the Fugees who originally recorded it

There's a post or two in the Black Music thread but she more than deserves a mention in the Lounge. I believe her to be one of the greatest female vocalists of all time. So sweet. Her chemistry with Donny Hathaway was amazing.
