Wow. Ford may not have good judgment but he has good taste.

If she's an SP, let's hope she starts advertising on TERB
Keep in mind this is all alleged right now. For all we know she just escorted Ford that night because it was part of her Toronto tourism job description

What we learned today beyond any doubt is that the Toronto Star considers sex workers to be a lower class, somehow less deserving of respect.

And that if you go to the Bier Markt you can expect to your indiscretions to be used for the personal profit of others.

Both of these facts should trouble all Torontonians.

I know that I will never set foot inside the Bier Markt ever again.
I agree completely with your first observation. I can't comment on the Bier Market as I'm unfamiliar with the place. Sincerely, Jon .

Partying with escorts was just about the least objectionable thing Ford has done as mayor. But the lapse in judgement was talking them into City Hall...when the Sheraton is right across the street

This. It's his incredible lack of judgment that is becoming alarmingly apparent. If anything, we pay our political leaders to have just that, judgment.

the main thing that should trouble Torontonians is the depth of stupidity and stubborness of Ford nation.

it brings the wisdom of "The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter." - [Winston Churchill] to a new level

What a Great and Scary quote. Thanks.

The more reason for rational people to go out and put in our vote next time.

Ours is a great Country. We should keep it that way.

According to the Star, which should always be taken with a grain of salt, Ford was seen allegedly partying with an apparent escort named Alana, he had previously met at a stag, and asked staff to be discreet.

So what...we are all here and IMHO this does not mean he is not doing his job most of the time.

What do you think? Does it matter, even if it is true that he apparently frequently,,,and this is all according to the Star
None of the allegations are according to the Star. They are statements made by Ford's friends and staff to the police.

Apparently he doesn't do much of a job at all:

http://news.nationalpost.com/2013/1...te-was-in-his-office-mayor-was-driving-drunk/

The document also describes the mayor as a bit of a slacker. According to his former communications assistant, Isaac Ransom, the mayor begged off showing up when Prince Philip visited Toronto, and “would not do any media events before 11 a.m.” The document adds, “Mayor Ford would try to get out of doing ethnic media events, meetings with international politicians and ambassadors.”

He also didn’t seem to have much of a workday. Mr. Ransom told police that Mr. Ford comes in at 11 and works until 3 or 4 p.m.

--------------------
...David Price “basically badgered the mayor to give him a job,” the document says of an old friend of his brother’s who was made the mayor’s director of operations and logistics.

“The mayor finally gave in and hired him at double the price of everyone else in the office. That did not go over too well with the staff. Everyone was aware that Price had a past of drug dealing,” police say they were told by Mr. Christopoulos.

Mr. Price apparently rejected this notion. Mr. Price’s salary is $130,000 a year and the last person who held his job earned $65,000, the document said.

So much for that "fiscal record" bullshit. The "gravy train" was never stopped, it was only diverted to go straight to Ford Station.

The clown has driven drunk hundreds of times. He has lied about every allegation until it was proven - then apologizes but refuses to step down. It's pretty easy to say sorry when it means nothing. The guy is in denial when he says " I am not an alcoholic" , but I'm glad he is playing this all wrong. If he was smart enough to step down for a couple months, get on the wagon, get some treatment - then he could probably make a big comeback. Instead , he keeps lying and denying til most reasonable people realize the guy has no moral character at all, just a desire to desperately and shortsightedly cling to power.

Hey, but for those four hours he works harder than any mayor ever has (except on his two hours lunch break of course).

Unless......they are in a open marriage where anything goes.
In March 2008 Rob Ford was arrested for spousal abuse - it might have blown over but I'm guessing she treads very lightly now. We've seen the drunken rage - how many has she witnessed ? I don't think she will say anything just out of fear.

It won't happen again... At the Air Canada Centre that is!

The first fifteen seconds of this clip say it all. Look at the reaction of the woman behind Ford

What we learned today beyond any doubt is that the Toronto Star considers sex workers to be a lower class, somehow less deserving of respect. . . .
Nothing in that Toronto Star story validates your claim. The newspaper makes no reference to the "class" of the lady in question, simply refers to "an apparent prostitute" and notes that the police report includes "rumors that Ford has used escorts or prostitutes.

I fail to see how this becomes a class judgement on sex workers.

What we learned here today beyond any doubt is that you consider the Toronto Star a target for inaccurate criticism based on lack of reading comprehension.

What we learned beyond any doubt a long time ago is that the lying buffoon Rob Ford cannot be considered anything but lower class.

If it is your judgement that the sex workers in question are "a lower class" on the basis of their association with Ford, you might have an argument I could respect.

On Sp's name is being touted around all over including another very dubious board. But a poster on reddit said it was the same one who was with Ford at the ACC when he got kicked out. A Sun rporter sort of confirmed it.

There is, in my view, a disparaging connotation associated to the description of any women as an 'apparent prostitute', at least in my world. No surprise for me to hear that the Toronto Star has reported something based on rumors. I didn't read the article as I haven't read that newspaper for many years. Sincerely, Jon .
