I was talking to some German tourists in the Falls about a month ago. They were shocked that hardly any vehicles here were EV. They are a very big thing in Europe right now.Chinese cars are being sold all around the world at this time, there is great demand in Europe, Australia and other places where gas is expensive. Chinese cars will take over the car business just as the Japanese cars did in the 60s and 70s. Rivian will build a small following until the tsunami of Chinese EVs take the majority of the market, at which time Rivian will be bought out and be used as a side brand to sell SUVs and pick up trucks. They are a small fish in a big ocean.
There are big tariffs on Chinese made EVs in the US and Canada. just like there were on Japanese made cars years ago. When you start to see Chinese EV manufacturers setting up shop in North America the politicians will be on their knees waiting to BJ them so they would set up shop in their jurisdiction. That will be the beginning of the end for many gas vehicle manufacturers.I was talking to some German tourists in the Falls about a month ago. They were shocked that hardly any vehicles here were EV. This is true. China makes a lot of smaller, city EV cars as well. Affordable and available around Europe. There are big tariffs on Chinese made EVs in the US and Canada. just like there were on Japanese made cars years ago. The Chinese EV manufacturers are not in a hurry to sell in North America, they sell out all they make now and there is a waiting list.
