You do know there is no cure for asperger's syndrome, right?MLAM said:Clearly you also too immature at this point for an adult relationship. Indeed, you sound like you might have Asperger's disease, save for your language skills are pretty poor.
In summary though, you shouldn't blight any woman with your companionship until you deal with your issues.
I am normally very unassuming (you should be able to tell this from my other posts if you care to look) and even the writing patterns I use on this board are completely different then when I write a research paper. I do this because I learned early on that people hate intelligent people as a rule as it raises their own insecurity, they only see the positives.C Dick said:MakeItSo: you say you have a very high IQ - what is it? Do you have any other evidence of your intellect to impress us with? I am curious.
Hey Moe, I know you twin brother RonMakeItSoNumber1 said:Super duper smart guy double post.
The guy with the 180 IQ gets tripped-up with a simple homonym. You're looking for the word "than", not "then" - but then I guess you're just changing your writing patterns, eh? Nonetheless, here's a link to a simple grammar lesson for you - http://grammartips.homestead.com/than.htmlMakeItSoNumber1 said:I am normally very unassuming (you should be able to tell this from my other posts if you care to look) and even the writing patterns I use on this board are completely different then when I write a research paper. This guy is either stephen harper or TQM.MakeItSoNumber1 said:I am normally very unassuming (you should be able to tell this from my other posts if you care to look) and even the writing patterns I use on this board are completely different then when I write a research paper. I don't really want to give away my identity for obvious reasons but I can say that I have done a Doctorate in the hard sciences and it was easy for me (the science was, not all the other crap).
My IQ can vary depending on the test, and many IQ tests are really just testing knowledge and training. In the military aptitude test I took they told me that I scored equivalent to a 180 but I was only 18 and that test is not age adjusted; which had the recruiters eyes bulging considering that I had marks in the 60's in high school. I got in the 160's consistently on an official Mensa book I bought one time. I also have done up to a 170 test for matrix tests, which I think are the best form of IQ test. But like all forms of tests you can get better at them with practice. I don't believe IQ tests are representative of an individuals intelligence though, I think they are good for populations though.
I am not trying to get street cred on here I was asking for help and lo and behold I got it! Lots of good responses here.
You know what? She is the smartest female I have ever encountered and she is good for me. Me even asking these questions of myself is evidence of that. She has previously admitted that she has issues and even offered to go on a kind of retreat to sort them out. She also found out about my hobby and even said she could deal with it to me.
I suppose we are both used to being smarter than everyone else and therefore in control. But we are also both isolated for the same reasons.
I don't want a pet I suppose. And she is still very young, I did not allow her much slack at all. I was too harsh. But she does piss me off and we will have to talk about that. It will be a series of battles and she will eventually win the war, but that is as it should be.
So I am going to quit with the MP and SC scene. I will have relapses I am sure but I plan to recondition myself over the next 6 months or so.
As far as we go, both need a little more time to heal but I will play the game as much as I have to and we will get better together.
Goodbye you demented maniacs!

yeah maybe. he is definitely out there. He would make a good security officer on star trek.LancsLad said:Wrong on both counts. ( in my opinion, not that your opinion has no merit, and any inference in that direction is neither implied nor intended)![]()
Harper posts as GB and this guys style is not at all like TQM.

I'm going to leave my post above - however I did not see what you wrote above until now, and it changes my tune about you. I thought you were pretending or exaggerating a lot of your issues, but after reading this, I have more empathy for you to the point where I'll actually apologize for the "pot shots" that I took at you above.MakeItSoNumber1 said:So Ok. You guys pretty much think she is borderline and I am prone to that due to my own issues, that are somewhat similar. Such as low self esteem and a fear of intimacy as well as trust issues.
I am aware of this dynamic. I suppose many of us have these traits.
So I should continue to try and forget about her and only speak to her if she shows some willingness to be honest with me.
I saw the way she was but fell for her. I am not wet behind the ears.

Relationships include compromise and sometimes just letting the other have their wishes and making nothing out of it.
