You wrote (my bullet points and order)

1) Is there anyone who does not have an adversarial relationship with their SO?

2) do I . . . play the game to win this time rather than to try and not play the game?

3) I am talking to a girl who I know is a double agent, she has spent the last 3 months building my confidence in her and she thinks I trust her completely.

4) I . . . feel that I can never be truly intimate with her or trust her.
MakeItSoNumber1, even as others have posted, seemingly you have trouble with trusting women and for whatever reason need to have either an adversarial relationship with them and/or to be in absolute control of the relationship.

This is not the sort of thing that TERB or any other internet source will really be able to help you with. If you are truly serious about not wanting to be like this anymore - which your post does suggest, you should make an appointment to see a licensed therapist/counselor. From what you write I believe you will glad if you do.

Bingo!

Even "smart" people need therapy once in a while to learn how to cope with the rest of us "mere mortals" and our "pesky emotions".

Your "abilities" ARE hindering your social relationships. If you do see ten steps ahead, see yourself in a therapist's office.

My very quick point here...

If you can not trust her, and she can not trust you, there is no love. Lust yes, but no love.

Why would you even want a relationship like that?

the guy is using language like 'double agent" to describe her. he has some serious issues if he is older than 14.

Well, since I am just a dumb farmer, I thought I would reply the only way I knew how. Unfortunately, I can't keep up mentally with all these intellectuals and secret agents.

I can lend you one of my spare Get Smart shoe phones, but be careful using them for mucking out. The reception is really shitty then.

If she is actually a "double agent" might I suggest you wrap your winkie in tin foil.

Call her up on your shoe phone. :D

Seriously, like other people said on this thread. I don't think you're as smart as you think you are.

Sorry if that came off as arrogant. I am not perfect. I have many problems because of this.

I have some problems, like an autistic slant to my personality and stuff. I suppose Klinefelter's Syndrome, it makes my life hard in some ways. But makes other things easy, like say figuring out an equation or people's behavior for instance.

My point is that I can win the battle. Sorry about that.

So Ok. You guys pretty much think she is borderline and I am prone to that due to my own issues, that are somewhat similar. Such as low self esteem and a fear of intimacy as well as trust issues.

I am aware of this dynamic. I suppose many of us have these traits.

So I should continue to try and forget about her and only speak to her if she shows some willingness to be honest with me.

I saw the way she was but fell for her. I am not wet behind the ears.
