If you don't frequent Asian markets then how do you know that Chinese people are avoiding them?I personally don't see it and here is why.
1. I'm not the type of person who frequents Asian markets. I don't go to pacific mall, I don't shop in their grocery type store. So just because I am still not going to the store and wouldn't go because they don't appeal to me and my lifestyle, I'm not racist for continuing to not use them.
2. It is mainly Chinese people avoiding their own markets. So if the majority of people who use these shops are Asian and those Asian people are avoiding them, are they being racist against their own kind?
I just don't see the "racism" in it. I'm open to someone pointing out the difference.
Wouldn't you complain if your business was down 50 or more percent by no fault of your own? They are just complaining because business is down.
I am still seeing Asian hookers because I don't want to be perceived as racist, and they need my support in these troubled times. If you don't frequent Asian markets then how do you know that Chinese people are avoiding them?
I understand what you were trying to say though. Avoiding an area of town, restaurant, market, event etc is not racist at all.
Well it makes me question if they truly have a problem with racism or is this about collecting money?Wouldn't you complain if your business was down 50 or more percent by no fault of your own?
Me too! This ^^^^^ And I REALLY like Asian women ...I am still seeing Asian hookers because I don't want to be perceived as racist, and they need my support in these troubled times.
Asians are some of the most racist people on the planet so hearing them cry about discrimination is outright laughableI think because of their small stature they get a pass in society as the innocent, docile, harmless people. Some of the worst behaved and inconsiderate people you will ever encounter, aside from Asian Kelly, wherever she is.
All people are racistMost people are racist, they just usually stay racist in private and won’t admit it. Wherever there is an opportunity to be racist on a larger scale, that racism usually resurfaces. A lot of them already blamed the Chinese for the state of the housing market.
If Chinese people avoid Chinese business is that racist?Speaking as someone who lives downtown, yes, there is absolutely a problem. Go to China town, I don’t think I’ve ever seen this few people there. There is absolutely no question to me that Asian businesses are suffering because of this situation.
And it is absolutely natural and rational behaviour. In fact,Chinese themselves behave in the same way toward Chinese. It has nothing to do with racism, it is just rational racial profiling, which is, IMHO, a correct way to behave. The probability that a randomly chosen person has this virus is lower than the probability that any randomly chosen Chinese person has this virus. Hence, rational people behave rationally, politically-correct people behave politically-correct. Racism is when you do not like the person because of the race. I have no prejudice again Chinese, but I would rationally avoid going into Chinese community now.Speaking as someone who lives downtown, yes, there is absolutely a problem. If we're talking about businesses suffering a down trend then of course it's about money. As I said earlier, it's not racist not to go to a particular business, event, etc. It would be racist if someone decided to hurl insults, vandalize, etc. It's not inherently racist for taxis not to pick up Chinese people, but it is discrimination.Well it makes me question if they truly have a problem with racism or is this about collecting money?
What is the true intent.
I don't see how avoiding the Chinese community is rational given that the number of people infected in Canada is extremely small. And it is absolutely natural and rational behaviour. God bless you my son. Make Canada Great Again.I am still seeing Asian hookers because I don't want to be perceived as racist, and they need my support in these troubled times.
Most Chinese do not get their news from MSM, they have their own Chinese language outlets and online sources.Ok, but again, the reason that’s happening is because the media is blowing things out of proportion and making people think they’re much more at risk than they actually are. That’s the issue, not necessarily THAT people are avoiding Chinese businesses, but WHY they are.
Casinos must be taking a hit as well.Wonder how the business in pacific mall is. Anytime I used to drive by that place its packed
