I've changed my view on this one. If a player wants to take a knee then fine. But if he doesn't then fine as well. Maybe eliminating the anthems altogether might be warranted. I'd prefer to leave all politics and social agendas of the pitch, court and ice myself. But the social justice taliban isn't going to go for that.

This is never gonna happen. Sports reflects whatever is going on in the rest of society. What you are asking for is the “Olympic Ideal” of nations putting aside their differences through sport. But doing so inevitably favours the needs of those in power.
Short-term…maybe you’re right.

Meh…I call bs on this claim. There are certainly Trans Radical Exclusionary Feminists out there but they are a loud minority who don’t hold much sway in the community.

I posted an article about this earlier but companies who support the lgbtq community are doing so based on long-term demographic trends. There may be some short term costs but there are also long term consequences to resisting these changes.

Legally someone who assaults them can not only be charged with assault, but can also have an extra hate-crime attached to the charge.
Heterosexual people dont get that privilege (unless you're part of a visible minority).
LGBTQ also get preferential treatment by the media.
An assault on a regular person probably wont make the news, but an alleged assault on a gay person does
