After a few hours...what about people stranded in the subways and elevators. Then, those poor folks sleeping on the streets because they were literally stranded! Then, conserve water and electricity. Then, enough already please get the power back on!

- WADDAFUCK !?! followed by
- freekin' brown outs, finally happening
- must save files/secure PC's while still have back up power
I didn't realize it was city spread until 5 pm. And finally, a call from NY confirmed the true scope of this black out an hour later. Called T.O. relatives and most of them were BBQ'ing already. Then it finally hit me that I wasn't going to make it ...... without electricity, I was going to miss my fav reality show at 8 last night....
Terrorists were the last thing on my mind, as the cause of the black out. I did think of people looting downtown though... glad to know that most residents were behaving, apart from some A holes racing up Yonge street this morning, 2 cars and a sport bike.

At First I wondered......
If I was in the middle of a rendezvous with an SP:
A. Would we not take notice and coninue well in to the evening before either of us noticed?
B. Would she abruptly end the date, refund me 1/2 my money and politely excuse herself for safety reasons?
C. Would we take a break, check the news, resume to appointed schedule, and assure that she hooked up safely with her chauffer after?

Brown versus Black
Blackout, as we have experienced - a wide spread loss of electricity supply over an extended period of time (greater than 1-3 hours).
Brownout, as we may be experiencing, localized areas with temporary electricity supply shortage.
