I am sure the kid was in the wrong, i.e. running a red light while skateboarding. However, that does not require handcuffing and violent takedown.

Actually, if you read my - admittedly many - posts about the incident, you would realize that what I have inferred is POLICE INTIMIDATION.

Was the kid wanted for murder or something heinous?

A couple of days ago in Mount Albert the police took down a man armed with a knife who was charging at them. That same man also allegedly knifed 4 other people, killing one. Yes, the police officers used their guns.

Because not all the information is available yet. That will come out in a trial.
For example, there could be bodycam video from the police officer that the public hasnt seen yet
