Somewhere between here and there
I filled up last night on the way home from work 11:30 p.m. at 98cents or something and by the time I was leaving there was a line up because some idiot on CITYTV said it would be $1.80 by this morning.

He is not an idiot - it is already beginning to climb in some parts of the GTA.

I spoke to a friend in Windsor - $2.30 in a matter of minutes.

Hi, Guys,

I hope it won't create panic, but my friend told me gas price is over $2/L in Barrie.

So do yourself a favor to stop by a gas station during lunch to fill up before price increase beyond belief.

Thanks for hear me out,

CH72
Then this from 2:30 PM today

Davenport and Dupont

1.04 reuglar, 1.15 Super

at 2:45 Pm Thurs.

Attendant saying it WILL be going up, she had not received a call yet, but had been warned it would be rising by 9PM thurs nite.

Interesting to note that oil prices actually eased on news that the storm was now sliding to the NE avoiding the Texas oil fields a bit more. We're paying for the "full hit" effect in todays gas price but the actual price is fluctuationg.

This is such a rip off. How any politician can look anyone the face and say there is NO colusion in pricing is simply beyond me!

Her bedroom has those little black rubber tubes that go "ding ding" when you step on them outside the door.

She must have to keep a cutomer count.

She told me at 25 cents a cutomer she can do 2 to 3 hundred per day

Yep. Before she got the hydraulic lift and the air-powered impact wrench, she could only do a hundred or so.

Best investment Dad ever made.

way out in left field
I don't remember who mentioned it but yeah, Canada is an oil exporting nation, yet our infamous oil companies think, hey let's grab some extra cash while we can. Same as after Katrina hit, hey, 10% of the US oil production has been damaged (not stopped, not delayed) just damaged. Let's hike the gasoline we have on hand to 1.30 a litre and screw these friggin drivers.

Better yet, we will do it with the government's support because after all, they are scooping untold millions in extra revenue everytime we raise the prices, based on reality or not.
