The fuel and airport fees would be quite expensive for those big bombers especailly since they would be coming from the US / overseas.
With budgets for everything, except government pissing away billions, cut so tight it`s a problem. Huge costs mean cutbacks.

But they could move it somewhere else.
Lots of people every day for extended hours and in a fairly spread out area. Not sure where else you'd get that dynamic and in a place where there would not be people who would be annoyed. And factor in that this is a long standing tradition. Air Show and Ex kinda go hand in hand.

Hamilton. I suspect that the same type of people who complain here would complain there. And many fewer people would see it in Hamilton, thereby diminishing the significance of the event.

I saw the Italian airforce show at Abbotsford years ago. 1986 or thereabouts. The most incredible performance ever. Planes flying towards each other at lamp post altitude and missing each other by feet. Not like here.
The Frecce Tricolori have been here several times, they were at pre-race festivities for the Italian Grand Prix this year.

I don't see B-52's performing loops at air shows.
I'm not an av geek, but I don't think it's possible for a B52 to perform a loop. Having said that, there have been a number of bomber type aircraft in the air show before including a B52.

Avro Lancaster
Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress
USAF B-1 Lancer
USAF B-2 Spirit
USAF B-36 Peacemaker
USAF B-52 Stratofortress

At the London air show on Sunday last year a B-2 made a pass. Pretty cool to see.

I remember seeing (and barely hearing) the F-117 Nighthawk in Toronto. Same with the legendary F14 and Harrier.

My favourite of all time though is the P-51 Mustang with beautiful lines and the sound of the Merlin.

Agree about the Mustang. Would love to see a Japanese Zero fly, if any are left.

It would be neat to hear the iconic Stuka dive sound that everyone knows, but it would trigger a whole lot of people. I wouldn't want to see it though because it's a fugly plane :p

Better yet, it would be really cool to see an air show of all heritage aircraft like the: P51, Lancaster, etc. It would absolutley amazing to see a flying replica of the Avro Arrow.

Has the air show in Toronto ever had a major accident? We've all seen the vids where that happens....
a Snowbird went down in 89 at the Ex.... I remember I was walking onto the CNE grounds listening to the Jays game when the announcer said something just happened at the Air Show.

In recent years, I think Afghan and/or Syrian refugees complained about warplanes flying over their heads. Brings back bad memories for them.
They didn't. Some PHD wrote an open letter with an opinion that this could be the case without asking them.
