But it sounds like you were educated at a free, publicly funded Catholic school that allowed you to pray inside the school, possibly even in computer rooms.
I don't think your religion should be publicly funded any more then I think pastafarians, buddhists or mennonites should get their own religious schools through tax money.

however in this case. i think the board went one step too far. if i read it correctly i think the board wanted to create a short list of sermons. it is one thing to read them in advance it is another to choose for the group.

i think it depends do all club or group leaders have to present a script of their speeches? pretty sure the answer is no.

by having a volunteer teacher i suppose they can listen but they probably dont speak the language

Unlike Milo the board has a lot more legal responsibility to be accurate. So either the board has been caught in a lie which the anti muslims groups could be used OR Milo is wrong.
Even if true that they were told to wait. How long did they wait. Did the kids arrive early? Did the teacher book the computer lab? This is also combined with the official statement from the board that the room was free.
So who knows maybe the board is lying? But the board could potentially be setting itself up for a lawsuit if they lied so I doubt they would do that. The link I provided was written by the Peel Board and I am sure they had their lawyers go over it with a fine tooth comb before releasing it.

I think we have to really be careful when we say group X is making too many demands and changing the country.
Because people could easily apply it to blacks, muslims, women, gays, transgenders, people with mental health issues etc.

There is zero evidence this has happened more then once, at any other school, intentionally, by outside pressure or with any malicious intent.
We should defund Catholic school boards so we can treat all religions equally in schools. Then we could say no religious classes, either Christian, Muslim, Jewish or Buddhist. In the name of tolerance the board, if they have the space, could offer up a room for prayer, should one be needed, that could be shared between all the religions.
Then we could fairly say we are not favouring any religion or trying to teach any one religion.
