Huh?? Keep what balance??!!
Fires are part of natures balance brought about through evolution.

Forest will regrow back stronger as it has since the beginning

If we build in a fire zone we will pay the price as nature will always have her way

One day all that will be left of us is the non biodegradeable plastic we have left behind

as that is why we are here - nature wants some plastic

In case you're like me and wondering why they can't use Pacific Ocean water:

2 planes from Quebec were actually already on site as Quebec Sopefeu has had a contract with California for 30 years now to provide 2 planes from the end of September to early January. These planes, which you can recognize easily as they are bright yellow, take their water directly from the ocean and can drop much lower than regular fire planes. Trudeau announced yesterday that 20 more planes from Quebec are supposed to arrive today, to help our 'neighbor' (he did intentionally focus on that word haha).

A private company from BC was also already on site with their designed helicopters as they have an annual contract with California. They will also dedicate more resources which should already be onsite.

Forest fires is something we know a lot about in Canada with our gigantic pine forest... Which we don't rake because they are too fucking huge!

My point is well established, immigrants, legal or not, contribute greatly to the economy.

When they are all deported who is going to do all the hard work they were doing, such as rebuilding a disaster zone? picking the fruit? landscaping and the other low paying hard menial jobs? This is one of several reasons I speculated rebuilding from this fire will take decades

Trump is a demagogue, he scares people into voting for him by exaggerating problems
they do not have then claiming only he can fix them.

Reminds me of self help guru charlatans, now that I think of it.
This is the thread about the California fires.

And what happens if our rate of deforestation, by what seems to be an ever increasing rate and severity of fires and other causes as well, outpaces the rate of reforestation? How will the forest grow back stronger.

What assurances are there that this will not happen?

John Goodman's look amazing...I love those southern colonial style homes...
From the image, we see that Billy Crystal can still play tennis. And John Goodman can still recycle.

What will happen is that all the owners who are no longer insured will most probably have to sell their land. The rich will buy it to rebuild even bigger mansions. Instead of nicely peaceful (but quite expensive) neighborhoods in the future there will only be a fraction of the houses... Built on huge land. The rich always win.

The “Kenneth” fire north of LA was brought under control very quickly because in was an area “full of rich people”.
What's the frequency that you picked that news up on? ;)

I spend time every winter in Santa Barbara and everyone in this area is on the same frequency. Anything more questions?
This was a big hit during our youth for some of us.
