For the last time, a team who has a goaltender who does his job correctly does NOT mean that the entire team did their jobs correctly.

For the last time, I have never said this. Stop putting up straw men.

A team who has a goaltender who does his job correctly might LOSE - which means that the entire team didn't do it's (singular) job.

What I HAVE SAID, is that, talking about the Leafs and the Sens, the entire team did it's (singular) job correctly. They won.

You were almost right.

No, each player didn't do his job "correctly". Belfour did. This meant that THE TEAM did it's job.
THE TEAM did what it set out to do. Beat the Sens. THE TEAM outplayed the Sens. THE TEAM outscored and outgoaltended the Sens.

GOT IT?!

For the record, I utterly agree with that whole quote.

It's Goober's disagreement with the second sentence that's baffling and leads me to believe he has no concept of what the game is about. Uh, winning? Last time, he said something like "I agree with Den Wa, insofar as you disregard the score".
