What I have found from using IPQS is that its scammers fake booking me. Since I stopped talking to people with a high fraud/abuse score and I report every suspiscious number.
If there's too much bs going on, I just stop accepting bookings from texting apps entirely but I give people an option to make a deposit or provide a selfie with their photo identification.
Most people don't take me up on it and I completely understand but I have to do something to try and manage all the fake bookings.
So far it's worked like a charm. I have had the most peaceful month of my life. It really helped me focus my energy where it belonged , and if someone starts acting funny , I just block them and report their number so that next time they might show up with a fraud/abuse score.
Ever since another worker completely crashed out and started making weird posts and threatening me and my family, i've been super selective , and I don't tolerate any bs, and it really helped. Honestly this other worker having a mental health crisis and coming for me for some reason made me tighten things up and learn how to do more research into people.
I feel like it really has reflected well in the service that I provide now too.Because i'm not burnt out from being verbally abused by strangers and being fake booked. I can put my energy into pleasing the people that are real. My clients are genuinely saying really positive things because my whole attitude has changed since I don't have to tolerate any more verbal abuse and fake bookings.
I don't work as much as other people , but I haven't had a fake booking for almost two weeks. I haven't engaged with an abusive person for about 2 weeks as well.
Using IPQS has been life-changing and for some reason , they had an issue with their website for one day. I had so much anxiety about not knowing anything about the people contacting me, I just refused to work that day until they contacted me back and fixed the issue.
It's completely free and they have customer service.
I don't come close to needing their paid service, but even their paid service is very affordable. If I did this full time I would probably pay for it.
Fair enough, let’s not spread rumours without proof. Another good way of ruining a provider’s reputation is to spread fake news about them, so I agree we shouldn’t participate in that.
But this is not exactly Watergate, just send someone trusted a tip privately so that we can investigate and crack the case ourselves! The point is not to wreck another person’s business, but help us help you remove barriers to connecting.
