So I am just supposed to take your word for it when my own experience tells me differently?

Quite the ego their monsieur.
Your "alleged" experience. So you are a criminal lawyer who has many crown attorney and judge "friends"? Sure you are. I'm sure you read a lot of the police notes...on your jerk Off material Cop rags.

You are not a lawyer. In fact in my legal threads the REAL lawyers on this forum pretty much put your ass in place. Nice try though. Maybe you and blacknutjob can form a "I love dirty cops" group. HOF will join ASAP.

Aren`t you the little whiny bitch that goes ratting to the mods when someone calls you out? Aren`t you the guy all the escorts complain about being a weirdo and ummmmm......well you know. You sure talk tough for a little wee weirdo who cries "bullying" everything someone calls the little wee guy out.

Go run little boy. I am sure you have 911 on speed dial in your "hood". Little rat bitch,.
ROTFLMFAO @ misterbrainwash! Did I strike a nerve? You certainly sound like someone that`s been banned before and is well on the way to being so again. You used the term rat, how long were you in jail? Haven`t you realized these boards are for entertainment purposes and by quoting the terb rules, I`m demonstrating how easy it is to get some members riled, tense, etc. I don`t know about you, but I use this for amusement and it didn`t take much to get rile you up did it. Escorts complain all call me a weirdo, dude, I`m in good company here aren`t I. LOL

Don`t worry about my little wee guy, it becomes the lochness monster when those same escorts that claim I am a weirdo wrap their lips around it. I may be short in stature but I pack one hell of a punch without throwing one as demonstrated here by making you go psychotic (is that spelling correct RUB?).

I don`t make unnecessary 911 calls like Fordie and probably you. In fact, you may be the asshat with all the frivolous attempts at suing city councillors, TPS claiming racism and other bullshit. I`m not running anywhere when I can have you drive me in that beck taxi and forget about any tips.

Oh look, here`s your thread about how to/what can: Instead of trying to take the easy way, get a job which may get you a life as you`re in destruct mode.

Time for you to FOCUS on joining society as something productive. Now, you can rant, report or stfu.

He's probably on his cell right now while driving in his daddy's benz talkin' to his boyz.

Well there it is! MBW is reincarnated from some troll that was banned as he states MY LEGAL THREADS. How did that all work out for ya? Are you still married, cuz your wifey has the greatest flat head. Man, I had a beer, hamburger, resting on it like a dinner tray while feedin' her the tube steak and watchin' the game! No animal (your wife) was injured during this event.

Alleged? Listen up newbie, . RLDs contributions to this BB is far ahead of any of your drivel and has shown many times to have great understanding and experience in many legal area, citing very fine points of the law at many levels. You on the hand have shown yourself to be not much better than a yellow smudge on a windscreen

In your legal threads? You didn`t even know what could be done in Small Claims court. Small Claims Court: What can you claim?

What other threads are you thinking of?

You`re a sad joke.

It's odd that you and I could only find one, the same one, of his legals threads. Perhaps he could offer up a few of his threads. I doubt it. I wonder which retread he is.

I don't understand why it is that whenever someone says anything negative about a cop, or cops in general, all the cop loving ass lickers come out of the woodwork. I think that Cops must make up an inordinate percentage of the TERB community.

Why would anyone be surprised that there are so many stories about cops gone bad? Where does all the respect for these guys come from? I looked up the educational requirements to become a cop in this country. You know what the first requirement is?.... You need to be 18!! WTF. The second requirement is that you need to have a High School diploma. That's right! A high school diploma.

So why is it that we should always give these guys the benefit of the doubt and bow down low to them? They are nothing special. They are not educated professionals like doctors, lawyers, engineers, accountants, etc. Most of them have the educational qualifications of ditch diggers and construction workers. Not that there's anything wrong with ditch diggers and construction workers, but I don't see anyone here on TERB licking their collective asses. In fact, I have much more respect for the construction workers that put their life on the line everyday than I do for these boys and girls in blue who have nothing better to do than hide behind trees with radar guns and collect taxes for the man. It's a well known fact that more construction workers die on the job than do cops. Yet, when a cop dies, we have other cops fly in from all over North America to attend the funeral. Why? This doesn't happen with construction workers.

Enough with the cop lover bullshit already. Here's your typical cop.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGMTm3QRwEc

Think back to any engagement you might have had with cops. I won't speak for others, but I'll tell you that for me, Officer Bubbles is the personification of the police that I have had the misfortune of dealing with.

I think it is good for a society to have a healthy disrespect for the police. They should not be treated as if they are above the law or better than any other civil servant. There are many countries where the police are feared. Is that what we want in Canada? We really are not too far away from that already. Look what happened with the latest budget talks in TO. Blair is asked to reduce his budget by 10% and he says "Fuck you". He comes back with a budget that reduces his forecasted budget by 10% over TWO YEARS!! WTF is that! In fact, the police budget is still greater next year than it is for this year. This is what you call a cut back?!? Can't anyone stand up to these guys! The answer is No, and the reason is because cops are afforded way too much respect.
Seeing that you've only been around since June, you missed all the past threads discussing the claim you make and showing them they're bogus.

Hmmm, or maybe not. You sure do sound a lot like A QuarterInchFall. Remember, the retired cop, paralegal, construction guy.

Only one small flaw, the police force isn't like any other public service, save perhaps the the fire department.
They are in the way it counts. Their wages, benefits, equipment, etc., are all provided for by taxpayers. The people in charge don't stand to lose a buck if things go over budget. Plus, they have unions to help negate any wrongdoing. I'm not anti-union, but oft times they're their own worst enemy.

Any public service needs to be monitored closely for excess. Inevitably, people tend to spend more of other people's money then they would if it was their own.

Never said I was a criminal lawyer.

But smart guy...I defy you to show me one thread where any lawyer on this board "put me in my place" or even disagreed with me on something substantial about law.

Time to put up or shut up. Where did this happen fiction writer.

John, let me ask you some questions about how you think about cops.

1) The media tends to report exceptional cases, do you think the media reported cases represent the average cop?

2) The minimum requirements are just that. But police jobs outside of TO are highly sought after. So if the minimum is a HS education, how many new cops actually only have the minimum? What it the education of an average cop who has joined in say the last 10 years? You would agree with me that the minimum is not the average or sometimes even used. For instance, my alma matter LS has minimum entrance standards. nobody who has been accepted has been at the minimum in over 20 years.

3) DO you think the officers decide that they want to do radar and then do it? Or do you think they get their assignments from management and then carry them out? Do you feel the same way about OPP officers doing single car patrols at night, or cops patrolling in Scarborough. Or the ETF?

4) Is there something wrong with the cops coming the funeral to show solidarity? Do you criticize that? Or do you just want more people to go to the construction worker's funerals...which is fine by me.

5) Do you believe that police, to some extent, don't prevent crime?

6) I don't think it is healthy to have disrespect for any group. We have created a group that has one of two state legitimized monopolies on the use of violence. They require special oversight to watch for trouble...but not disrespect.

7) Do you wonder why the public afford police so much respect. Is it possible that the majority is right and you are wrong on this?

Sorry, Blackie... don't know who/what QuarterInchFall is and have no idea what your reference to retired cop, paralegal, or construction guy may mean. Feel free to educate me.

Regarding my claims... I don't think I am making any other than stating the educational requirements to become a police officer. I'm sure that once a cop with the qualifications I mentioned is accepted into the force, the police force provides some additional training (like how to remove your badge during riots, How to arrest you ladies who blow bubbles, how to intimidate civilians during routine traffic stops,... you know.. shit like that.) If I'm wrong about the educational requirements to be a cop, again, please educate me. Other than that, what I am really saying, in a very long winded kind of way, is that we, as a society, should not be cop ass lickers. We should relegate them to the place they belong, i.e. servants. Because if we lick their collective asses too much, then before you know it, we'll need to lick their asses just so we can live our lives - i.e. police state.
You educational requirements are a minimum for application, not for acceptance into the police college, nor for a successful graduation. An earlier thread listed the curriculum studied and the book to be read in very short order at the college. There was a long list and none were an easy read. The training you listed was not mentioned. Don't worry, we aren't anywhere near being a police state. I've lived and worked in a few and we are nowhere even close.

Your comparision between a construction worker and an officer are also false. Yes, more construction guys die on the job, but that is more a function of lack of training/education for the construction workers and the logistical support, training and backup that the police service offers it's officers. This was all covered in some depth earlier.

How much overtime? Hire a few more officer and spread out the work, but no they can't hire any more.
An alleged $774 million City of Toronto structural deficit plus an already grossly overstaffed(by 1900) police officer workforce and your suggestion is to heap more gravy upon gravy.

York RP - 1433 sworn members equals 1 sworn member per 767 residents
Peel RP - 1900 sworn members equals 1 sworn member per 684 residents
Durham RP - 957 sworn members equals 1 sworn member per 616 residents
Hamilton Police - 793 sworn members equals 1 sworn member per 631 residents

Toronto Police Services - 5598 sworn members equals 1 gravy engorged sworn member per 447 residents

Based upon the staffing levels of surrounding regions(1 sworn member per 675 residents) the Toronto Police Services is 50% overstaffed and saturated in gravy.

Basically $200 million a year wasted on police gravy....every year, year after year.

What's in your wallet?

Policing Metro Toronto is far more complex than policing a suburb like Peel or York Regional and requires more assets. Any fool would know that. It's apples and oranges. You simply are compare population and nothing else like size, or complexities like high rise offices and subway. Are there any in those areas that compare to the TD centre, 5 1/2 ares, 6 office towers and 10,000 occupants. I don't think so.
