Yes, and real hockey fans have better things to do in our short Summers than watch field hockey when they can wait a bit and watch the real thing. Just kidding, maybe.

Again these are just sports for these Olympics. We do not care every summer to watch all stuff like rowing or skateboarding or other such sports. In Europe and other countries, athletics is given far more coverage than here in Canada. We get to see enough of our Hockey, Basketball, Football, Baseball, and MLS Soccer. But Interesting to watch all other sports once in a while for a change. I do watch EPL Soccer and European Competitions and find them to be interesting as well. Have you watched any of the Field Hockey matches? Try it for a change as we all can wait for the Fall before we start watching our Ice Hockey!!
As a generality for me, if the best in the world are competing at a particular sport, then it's a reasonably good bet that it is worth a watch, if for nothing else than to get an idea of what a sport can be at its' best.
If she's going against trans athletes again, her chances of getting a medal are void. Notice the trans athletes in front of her in the clip. At Rio trans athletes took gold and bronze in her competition.
Canada won in the penalty shootout despite the reliable Christine Sinclair's howler putting Brazil at an advantage. But those two saves by the Canadian goalkeeper at the very end redeemed it for Sinclair. So Canada now faces the USA in the semi-finals of the Ladies Football.
The Van Nistelrooy Rule needs to be clarified, Holland scored a third goal that was not given. In fairness Alex Morgan's goal should have stood as well. That's the problem with VAR, refs afraid to make tough calls, both goals were 50/50.
Nationals are taking it hard to the Americans for being so arrogant during the WWC, every game has been a battle for them. I hope the Canadians take care of business so that I can drop the Howard Cosell bomb on gl'Americani.

Canada lost to Mexico in the semi's of the Gold Cup 1-2, we are closing the gap. Fonzo wont be back in action until 2022.

Gorgeous Melissa Bishop gets the attention but Sage Watson isn't Rosie O'Donnell. Noelle Montcalm did not qualify for the Final.
We are fortunate to have some very athletic ladies at these olympics. They are really piling up the medals for Canada. Have to take out hats off to them and their prowess at these games.
