News flash: Nabokov just tried to commit suicide by jumping in front of a train. It too went between his legs.
My dad says that joke's been around since the mid-80s, and it was told (of course) about the Leafs. My dad says he thinks the Leaf goalie who attempted suicide but failed was Mike Palmateer, although he's not sure ...

So it's an oldie ... but still a goodie! :)

A game within a game. In the game against the Ruskies, the Canadians virtually controlled the puck behind the net at both ends. Watch for that in the next game against Slovakia. (Note: The Canadians need to win more faceoffs.)

Don Cherry cites it in one his books talking about the game where Daryl Sittler got 10 points while Gerry Cheevers was in net for the Boston Bruins......

Gerry Cheevers was not in net for the Bruins, but was the back up goaltender that night. Dave Reece played goal for the Boston Bruins in the Sittler 10 point game.

Interesting sidenote, Reece never played another game in the N.H.L.

Eh. Oh. Canada Go.

It's amazing how that new promotional cheer for the Olympics has caught on.

The crowds just can't seem to stop chanting it. LOL.

It is unlikey Nabokov will play another Olympics game for Russia. He should have been pulled when he let in more than three goals. May be some Russian coaches should commit suicide. LOL!!!

Omg.... 4 elimination games in 5 nights for team canada. Are they going to have anything left in the tank for the gold medal game. The USA will be well rested.

Cheers

Nevermind.... I thought the gold medal game was tomorrow. The boys will get a bit of rest.

Canada had horseshoes up their ass. I thought Demitra had a sure goal in the last 5 seconds. Wow. Not terribly convincing for Canada.

2 good periods and 1 shaky one. Demitra got robbed by Luongo!

Now, THAT'S Hockey !
One would think the Canadian fans would like to see Team Canada pounded the Slovaks into submission just like they did to the Russians. :)

The Slovaks play a very ugly style of play. Very hard to open up the game and play firewagon hockey against them.

I'm a hockey fan. I'd rather see a game like tonight 10 times than a game like the Canada 7-3 victory over the Russians.
