That is weird because I watched the game in HD on Sportsnet here in Toronto, Canada. That Swiss goalie was amazing except he pulled a "Brodeur" and the puck ended up in the net.

The 'mighty' Russians turned out to be big pussy cats against the 'well oiled' Canadians. LOL!!!
The Canadians played a near perfect game against a "tier 1" opponent. One worrisome aspect is their faceoffs. I think they lost the majority of the faceoffs.
I've said it on this and other forums when we lost against the US...... We'll put Luongo in goal, and do just fine..... 
The loss to the USA does not bother me at all, as our team dominates the majority of play.
I will say this though..... As we out played team USA much more than we did the Russians, how fuckin good is Miller in net.

I am really pleased with the play of the young Canadian defensemen. We are seeing the passing of the torch from Neidermayer, Pronger, Blake to a new generation. Our defense will be in good hands for the next decade.

There will be the World Cup Of Hockey if the NHL does not take part in the Olympics. Canada won the last World Cup in 2004. It's a no brainer that if Gary Bettmen wants the game to grow more popular internationaly the NHL better stay in the Olympics. The Olympics is the largest stage for hockey. The World Cup Of Hockey is no where at the same stage as the World Cup Of Soccer or the Olympics.
Canada leads the tournament in scoring out scoring teams 29-12. Hard to believe the only team that could stop them is Ryan Miller and the US. However, if we meet the USA in the gold medel game and dominate them like we did in the round robin, it's no contest. Even Brian Burke was not happy the US win over Canada, he thought Canada dominated them. So Burke is scared of Canada.
If Canada plays like they did against the Russians and The Rock Star, it's no contest against Slovakia. All of Canada's forwards are going to hammer Chara back to Boston.
