Every now and then, I look up some former (not good enough) Leaf players to see how they are doing.
Matt Martin - Islanders
Nazem Kadri - Avalanche
Jake Gardiner - Hurricanes
James Reimer - Hurricanes
Roman Polak - For some reason he left the Stars

How can you forget about 2 time cup winner Phil the Thrill Kessel of the Coyotes. He's also an Alternate Captain meaning he's one of the leaders on his team.

JVR who is playing for top seeded Flyers.

So there you have Leafs former top line of Bozak, Kessel and JVR.

Even though im a Leafs fan, I root for the Habs (I love visiting MTL) when they're not playing each other. So will watch the Philly series.

Flyers all the way!
But reality tells me they will get by the Habs but not go any further. I think they are to young to win.

Blue Jackets vs Lightning in 3rd OT. BJ's just killed off a Foligno penalty.

The problem with only 2 rinks is that a game that goes into 3rd OT delays the game afterwards.

Edit: Changed "every" to "the" game afterwards.

Maybe if the giant orange shit stain that occupies 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. right now hadn't been so gloriously incompetent, a bubble situation may not have been necessary.

Guy Lapointe would've ended this game by now.

Every (one) game afterward.

4thOT now.
Guess the Leafs took a lot out of Columbus!
This is ridiculous! Totally unfair to the Bruins and Hurricanes.

5th OT coming up.

Bruin game re-scheduled to tomorrow morning. If that game and the following game goes into 5th OT.....................................

Ridiculous! Unfair how?
Same for both teams, sounds like a level ice surface to me.

Why didn't that Lightning player (Hedman) get a penalty for hauling down the BJ player (Atkinson)? The talking heads on Sportnet 3-1 said Atkinson should have been given a penalty shot or least a penalty to Hedman.

It's unfair to ask players on both teams play the equivalent of 2 full games.

I would suggest 3 on 3 in OT. (Yes Shack, I know you disagree because you are resistant to change. No need to post.)

If the giant orange shit stain was commissioner of the NHL, he might say 'The players know what they signed up for.'

And what is your solution? Allow field goals?

How is it unfair for both teams to play under the identical situations? What can one say but, darts.

The NHL should take a cue from MLB and try to shorten overtime like MLB did with extra innings. As I mentioned earlier, why not play 3 on 3 in OT. (Yes, I know some NHL fans are resistant to change.)

So if Trump had closed the borders and put strict restrictions on travel between states how would that have avoided a "bubble" situation?

Even if the USA was as efficient as Canada in regards to control measures for COVID, I believe that the Trudeau government would have not allowed cross border hockey in the same manner that they did not allow the Blue Jays to play at the dome.

Thus the bubble situation actually works better than what we have seen happen with a wide open travel policy with MLB (i.e. games already cancelled due to COVID).

Yes the CAR vs BOS (Let’s Go Bs) will be played today, 11 AM Eastern.

https://www.nhl.com/news/game-1-of-bruins-hurricanes-rescheduled-o-wednesday/c-318406118

I’m wondering how long did the NHL wait to tell the two Teams about moving the Game to today?
The Game is at 11 AM.
This seems Early, why not 13:00?
Wondering what Players will do Pregame for this early Start (like a Meal)?

Bruins/Hurricanes tied at 2 end of 2nd period. Will this game go into overtime?

Watching Sebastian Aho playing for the Canes. It will probably never happen but he would look good in a Leaf uniform. Plus, he has a cap friendly contract.

Probably as soon as the league figured out an 11:00 p.m. start was just silly.

Why not 1 p.m. (13:00)?
Well, the ice may get a little crowded considering the Islanders and Washington are scheduled for 3 p.m. (15:00).
Simpler, more logical, rather than shuffle everyone's schedule, adjust 1 game.

My thought is players would do whatever they normally do, just earlier.
The entire 'Bubble Process' has created unusual start times for all clubs involved.
Seems like a 1st World Problem to me.

Note: This is all based on the Boston/Carolina game not going into overtime.
Alas, it has gone to extra time. Oh well, let's push back the start of the next games.
If it goes too late to get the latest game scheduled in, no big deal, move that game to tomorrow.
