I'm starting to wonder if the Broncos could be a dark horse(no pun intended) in the AFC the rest of the regular season and the playoffs.
I doubt it, the AFC is too strong. Rookie QB and lack of receiving options make it an uphill battle. But their D has been surprisingly strong so that could carry them through at least one playoff game.

Dorsett rushed for over 1,000 yds in 10 games.
In 1993 Barry Sanders rushed for 1,115 yards in 11 games played. Not taking away anything from him or Jim Brown but back then it was easier to do 1,000 yards because there weren't running back committees. Today I would say only about 1/3 of the teams have a bell cow running back.

I had the Browns on the moneyline Thursday night and they came through. Just had a hunch there would be a Steelers let down in this spot. Kudos to the Browns fans who stuck that one out in blizzard conditions.
My other bets for this weekend
Dolphins -7.5 vs. Patriots. The offense is clicking and the pass rush will give the woeful Pats O-Line all that it can handle. I usually stay away from these lines but I see a blowout happening here.

Eagles -3 at Rams on Sunday night. Philly is asserting itself as an NFC favorite yet again. Rams are mediocre at best vs. the run and Barkley has been tearing it up.

Raiders +6 vs. Broncos. I think the Raiders D will disrupt the short passing lanes and challenge Bo Nix to air it out. No doubt the Broncos are playing well, particularly on D, but giving up 6 points on the road in a divisional matchup is too much. Plus the Las Vegas Grand Prix is on.

Just curious, did the weather forecast play a part in your bet. Some people are crediting the weather conditions as a factor in the Browns victory. I don't know why, both teams had to play in the same storm.

US Thanksgiving matchups today are less than stellar. First up is Bears (4-7) @ Lions (10-1). Line is currently at Lions -10. My pick is Lions to cover but I'm not betting it.
The second matchup pits the Giants (2-9) @ Cowboys (4-7). The Cowboys are favored by 3.5. Again not betting it but if I had to I'd take the Cowboys. They seem to have more fight left than the Giants, who look like they have thrown in the towel.
The night game is Dolphins (5-6) @ Packers (8-3). Packers are favored by 3.5. Supposed to be cold and snowy. This is the best matchup of the day and I've been riding the Dolphins and making some $ the past two weeks. I think they have the ability to keep it close so long as they contain the Packers run game. They're capable of that being a top 10 run defense. In fact if you look at the stats for both of these defenses they are quite similar. I can see this game being decided by a FG so I lean Dolphins to cover. But the bet I like even more is the under 47.5. That I will put some $ on for sure.

The Commies gave the Cowboys an early Christmas gift. I thought about Johnny Carson's shaft of proctologists watching it.

If you had told me ahead of time that Tua would go 37/46 with 365 passing yards I would have bet the mortgage on Mia +3.5 They just couldn't get the running game going at all and couldn't convert those key 3rd and 4th downs. GB on the other hand got a good pass rush going and said OK Tua beat us through the air.
I was extremely lucky on the under the game finished at 30-17. I expected the weather to be more of a factor to be honest.

Yeah, I just read it.

The final straw was mismanaging 30 seconds and then defending his strategy.
I can't believe he'd defend the undefendable. The Bears mounted a solid comeback in the 2nd half and could have won that game, if not for mismanagement.

They were less than 10 yards away from a field goal to send it to overtime and they'd have had the momentum. One play with 30 seconds plus a timeout to work with is totally amateurish.

Bears fans can always watch games from 1985. That defence was clearly superior than any other in NFL history. They crushed every offence. They never had a chance. Better than the steel curtain and better than the Ray Lewis Ravens
