Stats of Alabama QBs were inflated as they played behind dominant offensive linemen and had plenty of time to throw. Bryce Young is further compromised by his 5' 10" height. Other shorter QBs like Drew Brees and Russell Wilson were nimble footed and could slide out of the pocket to spot open receivers. Bryce Young is lead footed and cannot see above his linemen. He is just not an NFL QB. He might thrive in the CFL if not for his massive rookie contract.
Even Jalen Hurts is proving to be an average QB. He has 3 interceptions in 2 games.
By the way, while Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen are effective QBs, the best pure QB might just be CJ Stroud of the Texans. He is cut in the mold of Tom Brady.
