I'm surprised no one created already. Discuss all things NFL during the season.

Surprises so far - New Orleans, Minnesota and the L.A. Chargers starting 2-0. The Baltimore Ravens starting 0-2. Now the Ravens have to go into Dallas and win.

I knew the Panthers were bad but not this bad. They have 13 points for and 73 points against (minus 60 differential) after two weeks. I think there is more than a fair chance that they go 0-17.

somehow I found this year just doesn't have as many compelling story line as in previous years.

potential intrigues:

Chiefs 3-peat ?
how bad Aaron Rodgers / Jets gonna be ?
how good will Jim Harbaugh 's Chargers be in year 1 ?
Joe Burrow and Bengals collapse and coach getting fired finally ?
Jared Goff / Lions taking a step forward ?
Jordan Love / Packers taking a leap forward ?
Can 49ers win with a mediocre QB in Brock Purdy ?

not a lot of superstars outside of Mahomes / Rodgers, since the retirement of Brady / Manning

Here's an interesting stat.
Career win-loss record for the first two regular season games of the year:
Patrick Mahomes 12-2
Joe Burrow 1-9.

Some interesting stats from the start of week 3:
---This was the first Jets vs, Pats game since 1995 that didn't include Bill Belichick in some capacity with either team.
---In week 2 the NFL saw a new record for the number of field goals kicked in one week with 73.
--Rushing is at it's highest level since 1983.
---Passing is at it's lowest level since 1996.

Out of curiosity, based on which metric(s). Yards? Attempts? Catches?
Good question, I wish I could remember. I think it's yards. I really should keep a pad and pen next to the couch when I watch tv.

Surprising yes but does make some sense. The old adage is take what the defense gives you. With pass happy offenses teams have built defenses to stop the pass. D-Lines to rush the passer from inside and out. Nickle D's as a base defense. Big heavy "thumper" linebackers are gone replaced with lighter guys who can drop into coverage.

The other factor is offenses usually take longer to get going. I think passing will pick up.

So many ineffective rookie and second year QBs. Plus terrible journeymen QBs like Justin Fields, Jacoby Brissett and whoever is going to replace Tua at Miami. And a QB like Lamar Jackson has reverted to running instead of throwing.

Third week and several of the games are going to be hard to watch.

I gotta ask... Who thought the Vikings with Sam Darnold at QB would be 3 - 0? Two of their wins are "quality" wins against Houston & SF. Giants suck that win is no big deal. I honestly thought the Vikings were going to be $hit this year.

Why do I care??? Buffalo has the Vikings 2025 second round pick... a crappy Vikings team means better pick for my Bills.

Miami is a dumpster fire. Looks like next year they'll have a top 10 draft pick and a new DC....again.

I think the debate on who the Steelers QB should be is settled..
Fields is getting more comfortable
Starting to find his groove with his receivers
O-line is starting to gel
T.J. is a beast....

As a diehard Chargers fan this was a hard one. We were besting them in the first half then hit a wall.

All Steelers in the second half. The Chargers offense recorded minus-five yards in total. Harbaugh looked completely deflated at the post game presser.

Romo was gushing at the improvements Fields has made. He was right.

Chargers lost Herbert, Bosa and starting tackler Rashawn Slater...Yikes...Herbert aggravated a high ankle sprain. That's got to be about 6 weeks I would think.

Man I had my hopes up this year.
