Sports trivia questions are difficult since everything can be gooooooogled.
Anyway, why was I cut from my baseball team when I was 14?

If, like me, I wanted to play shortstop, went to practise there and the coach yelled at me, You can't play shortstop, you are left handed. As a youngster, WHO KNEW????

Didn't like lefties. Maybe he was a fan of William F. Buckley Jr...

Actually, left handed pitchers are in great demand. Eddie could be making a $500 million contract.
Name me one shortstop or second baseman in the major leagues and third baseman. Only lefty first basemen. I WANTED TO PLAY SHORTSTOP!!!!!

Thank you for all of answers.
The correct answer is I suck at baseball. Couldn't hit a beachball.

Maybe the problem was that, like some people, you also thought that Ken Rosewall played tennis as a lefty. There goes your advantage.

Who (head) coached an NBA team for the first time in a league game on his 24th birthday, after having completed his Major League Baseball career?

Stump.

Since you are already a natural lefty, you don't have to switch hands like Rafael Nadal and some others. LOL!

"And there is a twist: some of them are lefties who play right-handed. These include Marion Bartoli, the recently retired (perhaps) Wimbledon champion; Carlos Moya, a Mallorcan like Nadal and the 1998 French Open champion; Margaret Court, the career leader in Grand Slams singles titles; and Kimiko Date-Krumm, the 42-year-old from Japan who lost her first-round match at the Open on Monday."

I suspect Canadian tennis star Leylah Fernandez might fall into the group who plays tennis with their non-dominant hand.

"Funny thing, lefty tennis players have an advantage over righties. I played tennis, didn't help me.LOL" Eddie: You should try playing right handed, your non-dominant hand.

Nope.

Ainge was 37 when he coached his first NBA league game, after completing both his NBA and his Major League Baseball careers. Although he was born on St Patrick's Day, (March 17, 1959), it's unlikely that he drank any alcohol on his 24th birthday, as he is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints.

I mentioned "league game" in the question only to exclude coaching in pre season games. The correct answer to this question was an NBA coach for multiple full seasons.

I saw Rod Laver at Maple Leaf Gardens years ago. IMO, the greatest left handed tennis player, although McEnroe and Connors were pretty good. The thing about Nadal is he is a much better player on clay than grass and hard courts. In other words a one trick left handed pony.
