Next three games they have the Bolts, the Preds, and the Bruins on tap. Looks like a six game losing streak in the making
Thus sayeth TERB's Wixpert of Hockey.

The floater scores again and our team of softies have given up 2 goals in the last 3 games.

Regardless, who knows which team shows up next game.

not always sure...
If Tampa Bay has been weighing their potential playoff match ups they'll be leaving town feeling pretty happy tonight.
They'd have no issue finishing 2nd and letting Boston face a tougher opponent in the first round.

Yes but let's remind Tampa that they got swept last year?

You conveniently left out the part where the Leafs were badly outplayed most of the game, and still squeaked out a very close 2-1 win due in very large part to a hot goalie who came up huge on at least 7 scoring chances - the real score of the game could have easily been 7-2 Tampa. You think Freddy can do that every night? Not likely. A couple, maybe, but not every night.

BTW - in case you didn't notice, it was Nylander's man that scored TB's goal. It could have been prevented if he'd just get involved instead of coasting along watching the play. Over an 82 game game schedule, until he learns to play some defense he's a bigger liability on the ice than a scoring threat.

That goes both ways. How many times have the Leafs had a ton of chances to bury the puck against various teams, only get stymied by a hot tender. Parody is so close in this league. A bottom placed team can beat a top team on any given night.

Nylander's plus/minus is a minus 2. 9 of his goals were on the power play.

I would pick Zack Hyman over Nylander in a heartbeat.

GP G A PTS +/- PIM SOG % PPG PPA SHG SHA GWG TOI/G PROD
2019-20 Regular Season 51 21 16 37 13 23 106 19.8 3 3 1 0 1 19:06 26:19
Projected 63 26 20 46 16 28 131 19.8 4 4 1 0

Hyman is on pace for a plus 16. He rarely plays on the PP (why?). He is miles ahead in battling for the puck than Nylander. Plus, Hyman kills penalties. He is the diametrically opposite of a floater.

Wicky obviously didn't watch the game. He think Timashov was playing on the 4th line. Toronto dominated the 1st period. TB dominated the 2nd. Once Leafs took the lead in the 3rd TB made their push because they were behind. Freddy played great. Is he not allowed to? Does he play great every game he plays. Does any goalie? Did Quick play great when LA beat the Leafs? No Quick played fantastic.

Every game? Nah.

But lately..... his last 5 starts in goal, a certain someone is 4-0-1 has a .938 Sv% and a 1.77 G.A.A.

… and that overtime loss he had a shut in regulation and overtime. Might have been his best performance of those 5 games.

William Nylander has not scored since March 10th..

He's simply not going to the dirty areas anymore, he's supposed to be a scorer.

It's time for the Leafs to trade him!*

If the Leafs don't make a serious offer to Dustin Byfuglien, then fuck em. I'm done for good.
