Is it worth it to cancel Rogers and use Netflix?
Other than movies, what is it like?Yes and no.
Their movie selection is ok but not the best. I am at a point where I have watched most of the good movies and now struggle to find a good movie to watch.
I keep both and just record on PVR the movies that come to rogers.
I find between sony unlimited video rental, rogers and Rogers on demand, netflix and youtube most of my movie needs are covered.
I don't think you should solely depend on netflix but it all depends on what you like to watch.
The general consensus seems to be that you can get away with internet-only as long as you don't need kids shows and live sports. Everything else is very gettable. I would think even the kiddie stuff is practical to obtain. Is it worth it to cancel Rogers and use Netflix?
anything good you would have watched before, Seinfeld, the Sopranos and OZ etc.anybody here have crave tv?
Other than movies, what is it like?
I was briefly on it over the holidays and noticed I could get Cosmos when I cannot get it on the net while you can get most science docs.
I was told if you get USA Netflix it is better and there is a way to fool Netflix to thinking you are in the USA
Agreed with you about Rogers, Bell etc. shafting everyone after the initial offer ends. The Regulatory Broadcast body should look into this absolute scams that are dangled to unsuspecting clients. However, the only credit I can give all these broadcasters is the sport coverage including English Soccer. The Internet does not have these options and so am stuck with Rogers. Netflix is okay for the price although their offers on recent new releases as far as movies go is pretty poor. If you more into TV shows then they are better than that. Recently have been watching a lot of lesbian movies online as some of them are quite erotic.I got into a beef with Rogers about 2 years ago after they jacked my rates by 60 percent. (I had been paying about $95.00 a month for all the bells and whistles, including TMN, but apparently that was only for a year and after 1 year, they wanted $160'ish for me to continue. I protested and they offered to cut this or that to get the cost down, but in the end they were fucking me over, so I told them to shove it and cancelled after 16 years with Rogers)
Been using just Netflix ever since.
80 percent of what is on regular TV is fucking garbage.
HBO is going to be coming out with a streaming service (same as Net flix).
Don't know what the price will be, but I suspect it will be more than Netflix.
Combine HBO (when it comes out that is), Netflix, with an Antenna and you've got a pretty good combination for a fraction of the price of Rogers.
You can use this site to see what each country's Netflix carries http://www.moreflicks.com/Anyone have a list of movies & shows offered now on Netflix Canada & USA?
Like Toronto Finest just said, Hola is what I use too. You can use it for other sites as well and switch it on and off with one click.Other than movies, what is it like?

Click to download the add-on on the main page.
It shows up on your browser as a tiny flaming emotion, for my Mac, it's on the right side at the end of the web search bar.
It is quite convenient to switch back and forth between the Canadian and American Netflix. I watch both because sometimes the Canadian one offers content not shown in the States.
Haven't ventured into the British one yet.
