Singh is floating the idea of forming a coalition government with the Liberals and others if the Conservatives win the most seats but fail to get a majority:

This puts the Liberals in an awkward spot. They're trying to convince people not to vote NDP, but it will look like nothing more than desperate bluster if they keep the door open to a possible coalition.

On the other hand, if Justin rules out a coalition, the question will become can we believe him.

You scare easily if Singh is worrying you. He may help prop up a Liberal minority but he won't have much power because the NDP will be too financially strapped to run another election. The Liberals will know that. Also, Singh could well be in trouble with his own party for a failure to deliver electorally. I would not worry too much.
