I thought I heard someone on the broadcast last night say the Mets and Phillies have never met in the playoffs. Surprising for 2 successful franchises that have been around so long.

No surprise as the Tigers have been one of the best teams since the All-Star break.

1. Padres: 43-20
2. Dodgers: 42-23
3. Arizona: 40-25
4. Tigers: 39-26
5. Mets: 40-27

Looks like the Royals may eliminate the O's. FYI, Baltimore has only played .500 ball since the All-Star break.

As they say, it's the teams that are hot going into the playoffs. Timing is everything.
