Rasputin (Распутин) by the way does not mean the disalute one, rather the surname which is not particularly rare is likely derived from the discriptive given name (Распутa) "an ill-behaved child."

However, one can see how this story got started given that the closely related word rasputny (Распу́тный) indeed means licentious.
