The Soviet dog launched into space in the 1950s. I don't think it came back alive.
Ginger Rogers is correct. The dog's name is Laika, and he died out there in space, which was actually expected.
Sitting Bull, I think. It could be Crazy Horse or one of the other clique of Lakota tribal leaders from the 1870's.
