There are certain advantages to focusing on growth over redistribution. A wealthier U.S. can afford to do more things across the spectrum.

Given that Canada has always had a decent social care system going back to the 1940's, you might have a "challenging task" proving that any alleged stagnation in the last few years is due to that rather than other economic factors.

But take your best shot anyway.

It is not the first time a POTUS has been dangerously senile, incapacitated and remained in office.
Biden has not been fully functional for years but in the age of the internet it is increasingly hard to mask.
Reagan was also protected by the GOP.
The POTUS elect Trump is also clearly showing signs of dementia which will be very difficult for his MAGA sycophants to accept.
