the break where I surf
I hears some rumours that MPA's will unite to form a union to include some or if not all of the following:

  • 30% of the door fee
  • Benefits that include dental, eye and physio
  • guranteed paydays ex. minimum of $250 every shift regardless of the # of clients
  • paid vacations
  • paid sick days
  • options to invest in the MP
  • bonuses for repeat clientele and referrals

I know it's just speculation at this point and some members will be quick to condemn but understand at this point it's all just a RUMOUR!

But now that you have said that and posted on the internet it has now become true expect for the following:

  • 50% of the door fee
  • Benefits that include dental, eye and physio, tanning, hair, nails inculding mani and pedi
  • guaranteed paydays ex. minimum of $500 every shift regardless of the # of clients
  • paid vacations of 2 weeks every 6 months
  • paid sick days without the need of a doctors note
  • options to invest in the MP and get out with that invested money intact when something goes wrong
  • bonuses for repeat clientele and referrals as well as the implementation of the "My Client" clause.

Just to be sure we have it all right.

and since the minimum price for the massage would go up to a $1,000, the clients who cannot afford it would be given an option to massage each other for $100.

I only hope that the entire market becomes regulated and the girls have to start paying income taxes on their tips.

See how they like coughing up 40% on everything.

no, he's actually right on the money! Guys would not be coughing up another 40% extra as it would weed out all of the subpar MPA's and SP's. The ones that would keep their rates the same offering up great service would see a great increase. It's sink or swim out there!
Name a business or a profession which would not pass its extra costs to the consumer (let alone a business that is inherently semi-illegal and discreet in nature).

please read my post again. thanks.
I did read it a few times prior to posting and couldn't understand it. Usually my reading comprehension is at a level that allows me to do so but in this case it somehow failed.

Not necessarily.

Say your average 30 minute stay at an upper end MP (Allure, HFH, SRM, whatever) is currently $150 or $160.

Say by some reason the MPAs unionized, wanted bennefits, blah blah blah and the gov't steps in and says, "Enough of the under the tax radar nonsense, now you're paying income taxes like everyone else"

Whereas a girl used to receive $100.00 cash for a body slide (and keep every dime) and now they receive $60.00 (after paying income tax) for the same slide, So now the price goes up from $150 to $225 for a 30 minute stay to cover the cost of being "legit".

80 percent of the guys out there would re-evaluate frequenting massage parlours because simply put - it's now too expensive.

Law of Supply and Demand comes into play. At $225 to $250 for 30 minutes, the demand would pretty much dry up. A guy making 18 to 25 bucks an hour would be very hard pressed to justify spending $250 of his after tax pay (approximately 2 full days work) to blow his load in 30 minutes. In short, if the MPs figured that they would simply pass along the cost of income tax to the customers, they would find that they had few if any customers at the new price. The current price is about as high as it can go.

I may be wrong, but I believe that if you pay for your massage with a credit card, it forces the girls to declare the taxable income because the money spent is on the books

OMG. You were actually serious. I am sorry. I honestly though you were joking. Things like a minimum payday regardless of number of clients seems even if that is zero seems so far fetch I truly thought it was joke.

Carry on.....

One which is already charging the maximum and is discretionary spending.

If things in your own life aren't going so well and you feel the need to come on here and trivialize others then I do feel sorry for you. Oh yea, and trying to cover up with the whole "it's just a joke" thing is lame. Your lack of professionalism definitely shows in the quality of your photos.

I thought you were joking and continued on with it. I said I was sorry. Can't help if you are not adult enough to accept that.

Carry on with your thread.
