Unions are so 1950s.

Anyways, haven't you heard? MPAs are not employees. They are independent contractors.

p.s. good luck finding an insurer that will underwrite policies for a reasonable premium.

Law of Supply and Demand comes into play. At $225 to $250 for 30 minutes, the demand would pretty much dry up. A guy making 18 to 25 bucks an hour would be very hard pressed to justify spending $250 of his after tax pay (approximately 2 full days work) to blow his load in 30 minutes.
In Amsterdam's Red Light district people have FS in 15 minutes and nobody is complaining. Maybe this is the future if the industry is regulated.

Forget all the legal obstacles, tax consequences and consumer pricing impact....

Have you ever tried to herd cats? Pretty much the same as trying to organize a group of MPAs. Ask any spa owner.

i would think if you don't hide your i.p and it is the same as another i.p that was banned in the last few days then you would get banned again. would make sense to me anyway. lot of aggression lately, makes me glad i have moved on from that shit or i would probably be gone as well and i would think me being here annoys more than a few and that is a small victory for me

I know it's just speculation at this point and some members will be quick to condemn but understand at this point it's all just a RUMOUR!
Hmmmmm ......... and I wonder who started the rumour?:confused:

you realize that it would be the customers who end up paying, right?
No Liberals don't seem to understand that concept. Its like the guys who think big corporations like RBC should pay more taxes on their income. Guess who pays for that increase?

Those two were storm/storms friends. There was a tread deleted in the Durham section.

Not a big deal. When all you reach for is the easiest piece of fruit on the lowest hanging branch, you get bad fruit and you know what they - You are what you eat.

Personally I strive for the highest fruit on the top of the highest tree. ;-)

But now that you have said that and posted on the internet it has now become true expect for the following:

  • 50% of the door fee
  • Benefits that include dental, eye and physio, tanning, hair, nails inculding mani and pedi
  • guaranteed paydays ex. minimum of $500 every shift regardless of the # of clients
  • paid vacations of 2 weeks every 6 months
  • paid sick days without the need of a doctors note
  • options to invest in the MP and get out with that invested money intact when something goes wrong
  • bonuses for repeat clientele and referrals as well as the implementation of the "My Client" clause.

Just to be sure we have it all right.
I would give this a zero chance of happening. The buy-in on the MP is particularly laughable in many different respects. Wonder how the MPA's are going to like getting T-4'd and paying full income taxes. As I said not gonna happen any time soon.

I hears some rumours that MPA's will unite to form a union to include some or if not all of the following:

  • 30% of the door fee
  • Benefits that include dental, eye and physio
  • guranteed paydays ex. minimum of $250 every shift regardless of the # of clients
  • paid vacations
  • paid sick days
  • options to invest in the MP
  • bonuses for repeat clientele and referrals

Management does not want ot budge on the other demands, but they will give in to the "all you can eat" clause.

Are you kidding? Less work and job security even if they fuck the dog? MPAs would love this shit. The certification vote would be a breeze.

A CBA is exactly what MPAs would need/want to protect themselves from their own cat behaviour.

I was completely over exaggerated for humour purposes, but mostly because I agree that none of this would fly. Not even what was posted by the OP.

  • Split on the door fee will not happen. At most, the MPA may be able to negotiate not having to give a tip to the house from her cut inside the room.
  • Benefits, as pointed out, they are not employees so that won't work.
  • Guaranteed paydays regardless of clientele level - can you really see a spa paying a girl while she had no clients at all????
  • paid vacations - not employees
  • paid sick days - not employees again. Maybe they negotiate no fines for not showing up to work, but I doubt it.
  • options to invest - can not force an sole owner to share his/her company.
  • bonuses for repeat clients - probably not, maybe for referrals.

Not to mention as others have pointed out, the claiming of income, etc.

Everything seemed so far fetch which is why I thought the OP was joking, but it appears he was indeed very serious.

I completely agree with you. There is just no way I personally see this happening either. Not union and if I am wrong on that, which could very well happen, I doubt they will get even close to what is asked for on this list.
