Not necessarily.
Say your average 30 minute stay at an upper end MP (Allure, HFH, SRM, whatever) is currently $150 or $160.
Say by some reason the MPAs unionized, wanted bennefits, blah blah blah and the gov't steps in and says, "Enough of the under the tax radar nonsense, now you're paying income taxes like everyone else"
Whereas a girl used to receive $100.00 cash for a body slide (and keep every dime) and now they receive $60.00 (after paying income tax) for the same slide, So now the price goes up from $150 to $225 for a 30 minute stay to cover the cost of being "legit".
80 percent of the guys out there would re-evaluate frequenting massage parlours because simply put - it's now too expensive.
Law of Supply and Demand comes into play. At $225 to $250 for 30 minutes, the demand would pretty much dry up. A guy making 18 to 25 bucks an hour would be very hard pressed to justify spending $250 of his after tax pay (approximately 2 full days work) to blow his load in 30 minutes. In short, if the MPs figured that they would simply pass along the cost of income tax to the customers, they would find that they had few if any customers at the new price. The current price is about as high as it can go.
I may be wrong, but I believe that if you pay for your massage with a credit card, it forces the girls to declare the taxable income because the money spent is on the books
