I'm sensing a strong anti-yankee bias here....

Saying Jeter was an average 2 spot hitter is ludicrous. Guy had is a lifetime .310 hitter with a OBP of .377. That's pretty far from average.

Best SS of all time was Alex Rodriguez. We all know why.....Ernie Banks was probably number 2. Ripken 3. Then I would put in Jeter..But Jesus did Derek have a habit of coming through when the chips were on the line. Ozzie Smith got better as he got older. How many times do you see that? He's right there as well.

Is Stanton overrated?...When he's healthy he's money. But that hasn't been the case the last few years. I watch all of their games. He's a great DH. Problem is that he hits better when he pays the field. But he's a below average fielder. So yeah I would say that isn't what they thought they were getting.

Judge is as advertised. He's a plus fielder and a plus hitter. At the beginning of last year he eliminated a little wiggle he used to do with his bat before getting set for the pitch. This seems to have shortened his approach to the ball. He waits a little longer. The results then followed. He's got so much power that he really doesn't have to fully meet a ball to get it out. The beauty with Aaron is his power to all fields. He's our captain and leader. The fans love him in the big apple. I figure the wheels will drop off in about 4 years or so though. Then the Yanks will be stuck with that contract. A move to first base might be inevitable. Eh it worked well for Hank Aaron.

My take from the cheap seats....

I'm a fan..Not a fanatic.....If you think I'm bias then you need to look inward.

Raoul Mondesi and Vernon Wells. At least Vernon had a couple of great seasons. Mondesi was said to be a clubhouse cancer and never lived up to
the hype. Vernon just seemed to mail it in once he signed that ridiculous contract....

Vernon Wells still holds the record for most hits in a season by a Blue Jay at 217, BoBoChette is on pace to break it - if Vlady gets out of his funk.

He no Mark Lemongello.
