Canadians on welfare, don't get free University or College. They will qualify for OSAP and they use to get some grants.

Compare that to refugees from Ukraine, who have children that are enrolled in University and getting an allowance to boot. My friends's daughter goes to Brock University, I am sure this is happening all over.

Welfare in Ontario is $733, not sure how you can live off that. Considering $100K per annum is nothing special.

Totally agree, from about 2008 to 2015 was the golden age, heard it was even better, when all the eastern European girls were coming over but that was before my time.

Ontario Works is the name of the welfare plan operated by the Ontario government for people who can ”work“ but choose not to.
Much more is spent on able bodied Canadians on social assistance than on refugee programs.

I always have to laugh at people who complain about immigrants taking jobs at Tim Hortons and other fast food restaurants, they would never work those jobs because they aren't 9-5, Monday to Friday and the pay is low. I'm sure their excuse would be, "It's an after school and weekend job for my son Connor/daughter Kayleigh."

Meanwhile, their kids would never work those jobs after seeing their racist Karen and Ken parents abuse the staff and being told those jobs are only for drop-outs and, wait for it, immigrants.

I'd love to see the "They tuk ar jabs!" crowd work an overnight shift at the McDonalds at Queen and Spadina on a Friday or Saturday night.

Gender equality and women's rights. Women's health, education, that kind of thing. In countries where women are treated like property. And raped and pregnant at the age of 15. That's where that money went. Not to some international LGBTQ conspiracy designed to brainwash all the white children in North America. Its ~1 billion a year over 11 years. I stand by what I said. This is just the right wing media trying to spin this as an anti-LGBTQ message. I could make an argument that this money did more good than all the money sent to Ukraine.
