Sometimes I go to Tim Horton's in the GTA very early in the morning - a variety of locations . They always seem to be fairly reasonably staffed at 6am or so . Almost zero of the staffing is by what I would call Caucasians who were probably born here. So it is mostly immigrant women who are working .
On my somewhat frequent summer travel to cottage country - a small town called Barry's Bay to be precise - there is a sign on the entry door - please be patient , we are seriously short-staffed. This same sign on the door has been there for at least 3 years and there is always a lineup waiting to be served. As indicated they are seriously understaffed . Barry's Bay BTW is a low income area , with significant unemployment with almost no recent immigrants. In other words the population is almost entirely white. The population there is clearly not willing to work for minimum wage and would rather accept government handouts.
While excessive immigration brings lots of problems at least most of them are far more willing to work than much of our far too coddled born- in - Canada population who often maintain their lowly have-not status generation after generation. .
