Is this where protests go to the streets to protest and fight each other, because that would make for some great distracting bullshit headlines.

If you mean those Sikh terrorists who BOMBED a plane and killed Canadians or Pakistanis who love to trash talk India, then yes THEY should leave their views behind, and try to live as Canadians and desire good things for all countries involved.

I have no views to leave behind because I am calling terrorists, terrorists and I don't have any cultural baggage against anyone.

You wont call them terrorists despite demonstrated evidence that they are because Trudeau said so. Lol.
Sure, call those Sikhs who did those crimes 30 years ago terrorists.
But that doesn't mean Nijjar is automatically a terrorist any more than Modi is a terrorist because of Hindu nationalist violence, which is a bigger issue and happening now.

Why do you give Modi a pass for fomenting violence through nationalism?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't recall those separatists bombing a plane and killing 288 Canadians.
They didn't kill 288 people but they did kill people.
That's why my family got the fuck out of there. We were out early (1969) but there was a wave of english Quebecers who got the fuck out of there after us. Don't know exact numbers but probably between 600,000 and 900,000.
Many people on this board families would have been part of the migration out of Quebec and I'm sure somebody may know the number of people who left in the 70's.

This guy is a lying sack of shit.

“Why is Canada catering to a particular political group?” If investigating the murder of a Canadian citizen and holding his killers accountable is considered “catering” then India is truly an authoritarian state that condones political assassination.

Also…nobody is Canada is threatening Hindhus living here. It’s the govt of India that we’re having a problem with.

Fuck whoever that douche is in the vid.

If he is asking assistance, wonder why he blamed in the first place. If you blamed it means you already have evidence and your investigation is complete, right?
just saw it right now at CP24. I don't know if he's really asking, but that was the caption under his face...if he is indeed asking, then it's quite obvious he was given wrong info and ran with it...that would be even more humiliating if that happens...not really following these news but my office is right in front of it...so can't avoid all the shenanigans going on...now it's rob ford and the greenbelt...I'm not directly affected by all these but man, the people running Ontario and Canada right now aren't doing the best job...

I am a liberal and NDP voter. I voted for Mitzi Hunter in the mayor election lol.

With this shit show I am reconsidering. May be vote for Pierre after all. :ROFLMAO:

Lets see how JT handles this.

That said, the silver lining is by standing with JT, native Canadians are at least considering Canadians to be Canadians regardless of origin. That is a good thing. But this is not a problem native Canadians created. This is a small bunch of extremist scumbags who immigrated and brought their problems along, are really loud and give everybody else a bad name.
To be honest. I never liked Pee pee and I voted Trudeau the first term..i was so tired of Harper and that legal weed got me good...voted NDP and unless the Liberals can come up with anything..other than Trudeau, I was long done with him...

India cut visa services. I had to do a double take and make sure my own travel ability wasn't fucked as a result. Thankfully it isn't as I have a OCI which is like a PR. lol.
That's what I've heard. there was a lady almost in tears being interviewed because her travel plans are most likely fucked (for the time being).

I am not giving Modi a pass. I am saying he is responsible and should take ownership for Hindu/Muslim violence in the country and create harmony.

But I am also trying to inform you, that Hindu/Muslim conflicts are not something that Modi created. They have always existed. Even before India was formed. Hindu/Muslim violence in India is not so much about cultural divisions or racism. It is more about retaliation (as was the case in 2002), or about religious property (as was the case with the Babri Masjid demolition and the subsequent riots).

In my opinion, there is far less religious violence and far less caste violence in India, today than when I was growing up. A large part of my family lives in India. We are minorities. We are a multi-religious family. We are lower caste. Why do we feel safe, despite Modi? This whole, Modi is fomenting violence etc., is a western media narrative. I am not saying there is absolutely no violence. But anything you have heard about - riots, lynching of Muslims for possession of beef, attacks on couples who celebrate valentines day because they are tarnishing Indian culture - you name it. They have happened since I could understand things. But they have also reduced in frequency today.

As for Hindu Nationalists, the majority of them, who are regular citizens of India, support Modi for his economic policies and national accomplishments. That is all Indians care about. Economic prosperity, national pride and achievements. They don't support Modi because they are rabidly nationalistic and hateful of minorities. The ones who are like that, who join RSS, VHP and other Hindu extremist groups are a minority of people.

So given all this, and given the fact Modi is democratically elected and has a simple majority in Parliament, calling him a "terrorist" is not a well thought out argument. This is where internet Pakistanis and other trolls come in. They basically make these thoughtless comments to get a reaction out of people.
You are being hypocritical.
You give Modi a pass for 'historical' hate crimes, despite the fact there are credible ties to him directly and then you refuse to include the possibility that the Sikh violence is historic or not tied to Nijjar the same way.

Likely there is violence on both sides.
But don't bring it here.

As far as I know Nijjar and the Khalistanis aren't accused of any violence in Canada and the Sikh terrorism is historic now.
By all means investigate both the Khalistanis and the Hindu nationalists and try to stop them both from committing violence.

Assassinating people is not stoping violence.
It is violence.

I literally said, and I quote "Modi needs to take responsibility...". So I am not giving him a pass. And Khalistani violence has existed for a long time. It has reduced, but it still exists per the evidence I showed you. So it is not just a yester years thing.

And if you say Modi has credible ties to hate crimes, then provide proof for the same. Because the Supreme Court of India acquitted him. Given the Supreme Court of India knows more than both you or I, I am inclined to trust their word over yours on this. Regardless, it is irrelevant to this discussion.

And I agree, don't bring baggage here. But who is bringing it here? Modi? Do you see any Hindu Nationalists on the streets of Canada? No, you only see Khalistanis. They are the only ones bringing anything to Canada, that Canadians have nothing to do with.

And yes, they are not accused of any violence in Canada. The question is WHY? Because Trudeau needs their support/vote.

I also agree that assassinating people is violence. Something Khalistanis have done in the past and conspired to do. So is bombing planes. Again, something the Khalistanis have done. So let us arrest the gangsters who killed Nijjar and not create an international incident and blame India for it, while providing zero evidence.

I'm trusting the investigations by the Canadian government and CSIS over the words of Modi.
You aren't.

People who immigrate to Canada should leave their political and other baggage behind them and not bring their problems to Canada. We have enough of our own. They should be happy to build a new life in Canada and not use this country to fight their old battles back in their home countries. Why are no Canadian politicians speaking up on this issue? Trudeau and Singh are just playing this up to gain votes from the Sikh community in this case.
I disagree.

Part of the reason they come to Canada is to freely express themselves and not be persecuted for their beliefs. Some are not coming here to build a new life, but to continue it without a crooked government trying to jail you.

Modi is a terrorist himself that has banned publications that express opinions unfavourable to him.

Canada has been asking for India’s cooperation for weeks. Thus far, the response has been about what you’d expect from someone being asked to investigate his own crime.

Okay. I do like Modi and what he has done for India and its economy. A billion and half people think so too. That is why they elected him.
modi is an egotistical dick, but indians have always been short sighted and interested in short term gain and modi somewhat delivered that in typical low quality high quantity ways. Now is he a murderer - for what? some other political prick? Highly doubtful. The rcmp isn't exactly excellent at anything. This seems like parking canadian election interference news, and letting jag wag have a go at wagging the dog.
