She's not really a second wife; she's a girlfriend but fits the profile of the upgrades available on the PGA Tour. Tiger is the exception. Screen Shot 2021-05-03 at 11.45.58 AM.png Screen Shot 2021-05-03 at 11.46.35 AM.png Screen Shot 2021-05-03 at 11.46.21 AM.png

Met Mike once at a gentleman's club. He was there with Vijay Singh.

It was apparent that Vijay was there for the entertainment but not mike, lol.

Anyways we ended up talking for about 30 minutes. He nursed the same beer the entire time he was there. Vijay was belted the highballs back and throwing cash around.....Like I said Vijay was there for the entertainment.

Mike and I primarily conversed about his training regimen that he was on. My impression of him was he was a reserved guy but very polite and friendly at the same time.

Colour me a fan...

I also briefly met him at Royal Montreal. I was invited for an event of the President cup. It's the year the crowd went wild as he beat Tiger.

Very nice chap indeed!

By the way Vijay would often practice up to 16 hours per day. Driving his caddy crazy. His work ethic is legendary.

That's why he lives in Utah and chose to go to BYU.

Good for Weir - long time coming - I hope he continues to win - I know for years he was plagued by injuries. Thats the kiss of death for anyone especially if you are an athlete.

Vijay and Mike have been very good friends for a very long time. Vijay once said the only tournament he wished he hadn't won was the Canadian open when he beat Mike.

Vijay did his best NOT to win that Canadian Open. If memory serves, didn't Mikey 'rinse' his ball on #18 at Glen Abbey to hand the title to Vijay?

That's right, it was the third playoff hole. Mike had a shortish put to win on the first or second playoff hole, can't remember which one but grazed the cup lowside.

Great to see Mikey back in the winners circle, the fist pump walking up 18 knowing a 2 putt would win it said it all. (y) His $337 k winners cheque is his biggest golf related cheque for quite some time. I was sad to see Daly rinse his ball though, always loved watching JD play, he still gets the club way beyond parallel on the back swing, remarkable for a big man at his age. Still has a great short game and putting stroke as well. If he had his head together in his heyday, he had the talent to give anyone a run for their money.

Hard to believe that The Invincible Super Dave Osborne passed away from complications of leukemia just over two years ago. Larry David said that if his passion wasn't comedy, he could have easily become a professional golfer. Had there been a Super Dave Golf Pro, I would have taken up the game myself.

AGREE on both points

Vijay s a very hard worker and so is MIke

Mike is polite and reserved while Vijay totally ignores fans while playing

He could at least tip his hat when applauded

You are correct. I was there and following, crowds were huge at that point in the playoff. Weir could have won in regulation but missed his 8' putt on the 18th. Then VeeJay tried to hand it to Weir on the second playoff hole, the 17th...but Weir missed his 5 footer for the win  Yep, he "rinsed" his ball of the third playoff hole. Very disappointing...but hey, I always liked VJ too!

I also believe he had a 3 putt par on the 16th in regulation before those misses. But that could be another open.

The water ball didn’t really hand it to Singh. Singh was already well in control that hole with a long drive and on the green in two. Weir messed up his drive on the short par 5 and had to take an aggressive 3rd shot to try to force an easier birdie try.

Mike Weir in position for his first senior major title.

Weir has a 4 shot lead after 2 rounds at a tough southern hills course. He had it up to 5 at one point.

Also Adam Svensson in second on the Korn Ferry Tour. He is very close to locking a promotion back on PGA tour next year. Taylor Prndrith already has.

On the PGA tour Adam Hadein is close to top 10. He needs a solid showing soon. He is currently ranked #120 on tour and if the falls out of the top 125 he will lose all kinds of playing privileges on the Tour which comes with being in.the 126-150 range.
