Post less and work on the 270lb bench that I always wanted. I'll still argue with Ripped, just not here or ED/JC.Malibook said:What are Picky and Ripped going to do now?
Yeah, you can tell that you're a gym owner (or else you're joking). Right now my stats are 5'-11" and 173lbs. At my body type I can't bench with the big boys unless I start putting steriods in my cheerios.Paul/IT said:Seven.... 270 lb bench? At your body weight you should be setting your goals a little higher, closer to the 305 to 315 range.
Just out of curiosity, how much muscle would I have to put on my frame to move 270, 305 and 315? How many hours in the gym a week would it take? Could I do it w/o creatine, in your opinion?Paul/IT said:It's not about how big your juice cycle is seven, it's about developing your triceps, delts ,traps, back and shoulders enough to support the weight and move it. It's easier than you think. I just think 270 was a low goal set by yourself.
That's what I thought too. My arms are long and my frame isn't compact.hdog said:You can't really say at x bodyweight should be bench y amount. Height and arm length (a real biggie) have a lot to do with your bench. At your height and weight "seven" 270 would be a damn good bench.
How do I even respond to this politely...Aphrodite
Originally posted by Snake Pliskin said:What's this about "benching 270 lbs"?
Is that like taking a BBW on a piece of furniture? Maybe I should read the whole thread.
Unfortunately the only muscle mass I have is between my ears.Goober Mcfly said:Annalee: I have a muscle mass ... IN MY PANTS!
I love how you always make at least one post boasting about yourself. It truly is a gift.Sheik said:Gee Paul, how did you know that wee wullie could lift up 135?
Actually, I can bench about 290 but an old injury on my shoulder makes it difficult after a few lifts. My current home gym maxes out at 310lbs.
I hear ya Sheiky. Mine maxes out at 180lbs BP, otherwise the potential would be endless.Sheik said:My current home gym maxes out at 310lbs.
Kayle, hats off for all your hard work. We will miss MBB greatly. It had a certain character to it. A new board is underway. Hopefuly our friendships can be renewed there.Kayla said:Don't be sad... MBB made a difference to many people... there are other boards out there...
.... I will surely miss everyone.. but I will see you around.
