HOLY SH*T. Governor Ron DeSantis just absolutely torched this reporter and came to Trump's defense when they attacked Trump over the criticism of Gavin Newsom. This may be his best moment yet. REPORTER: "Is it inappropriate to be criticizing [Newsom]-" DESANTIS: "It's INAPPROPRIATE for people in YOUR industry to try and create division, and to try and create narratives any time these things happen. Now, you're NOT as interested in doing that because Newsom is a 'D.'" "If Newsom was a Republican, you guys would go try to - you would have him NAILED TO THE WALL for what they're doing over there." "You guys sitting in judgement of Donald Trump - excuse me, I think your track record of politicizing these things is very, very bad." "The governors [would say] - just know, [in] a natural disaster - media's coming at you. It's not the same. If that mayor of LA were a Republican - I can only IMAGINE what [you] would do."

NEW: Scott Jennings takes a blowtorch to CNN panel’s defense of Democrats, leaving their California wildfire narrative in ashes. ABBY PHILLIP: “There are a lot of other issues. Climate change…”
@ScottJenningsKY
: “There are a lot of issues here, and it has a lot to do with local governance. Today, I’ve heard Democrats try to deflect and say, oh, you’re not allowed to politicize this right now, which means you’re not allowed to criticize the decisions that we’ve made out here in California. “I keep hearing climate change all day. Nobody seems to want to take responsibility for the local governance that has led to some of the failures and the devastation that we’re seeing. The mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, had one of the most disastrous public appearances I’ve ever seen in the face of an emergency today when she was incapable of answering questions about her decision-making. “She had a terrible press conference. There’s no local leadership. She was in Africa when this was going on and then had to scramble back. They did cut money from the fire department in Los Angeles… It’s not politicizing things to raise public policy questions when this devastation is occurring.”

🚨

@shellenberger
: "We’re seeing the effect of the radical left's culture war against civilization on the ground in Los Angeles." “It's a catastrophe. People should be absolutely outraged about it. It is a direct consequence this woke ideology." "We saw voters who, making racialist assumptions, decided not to elect the white male candidate. I saw focus groups where voters talked about they didn't want to vote for the white male candidate, even though he was talking about increasing the fire department budget. Whereas Mayor Karen Bass cut it." "So ultimately we talk about these culture wars as though it doesn't affect anything — I think we see the effect of the radical left's culture war against civilization, against the United States directly on the ground in Los Angeles."

BREAKING: JANISSE QUINONES is the New Head of L.A. Department of WATER and Power. She was recommended to the position by Mayor Karen Bass back in May 2024. She makes $750,000 a year — nearly TWICE as much as her MALE predecessor. And almost ONE year later, LA is OUT OF WATER FOR FIGHTING FIRES. PEOPLE ARE DYING. PEOPLE ARE LOSING EVERYTHING. $52-57 BILLION IN PROPERTY DAMAGE. And why? Because Democrats are the DOWN WITH THE PATRIARCHY party, that’s why. Well guess what Dems: THE PATRIARCHY KEPT THE WATER TOWERS FULL. THE PATRIARCHY KEPT THE WATER FLOWING. Has it ever been more clear? DEI = DIE.

Gutfeld nukes Karen Bass, Democrats bashing Trump: “She calls for unity amid this crisis. There is unity. Everybody there thinks you're a full blown idiot who should resign." "You don't fight this with a climate agenda, a DEI agenda, or even a political agenda." "Trump offered them solutions, not platitudes. Solutions." "And what did you guys do? Joe Biden called him a climate arsonist."

Red states choose guns over books. Who needs that fancy smamcy book learnin like them dem city folk?
Someone had to read some books to make those guns. They don't fall from the sky, like water does. And even water isn't falling in Cali right now.

California is a wealthy state but apparently not wealthy enough for basic infrastructure prepared to put out fires, despite all the warnings and "climate change".

Figures that all the Terb righties are trying to score political points against Democrats at a time when decent people are rolling up their sleeves and offering compassion and support in the midst of a natural disaster that was caused by climate change and none of their politically motivated concerns would have prevented this disaster caused by no rain and 100 mile per hour winds...... You keep attacking Democrats even though you won the election ( notice how they had a peaceful transfer of power this time and the Dems actually accepted the results instead of lying and cheating to retain it?).........relax, in 2 weeks your hero will make everything wonderful again!.... NOT!

It's not just climate change it's also urban sprawl, LA is a polyglot mess. They chose to rape the land rather than create buffer zones to protect against wild fires. They followed the lead of New Orleans who decided to develop the Delta lands, wipingout protective mangrove swamps...that also had a happy ending.

Both man made disasters.
