Can anybody explain why Insigne has joined TFC at 31 years of age.
He must have had options in serie A. Why join a mediocre club in Toronto?
I went to see TFC play against Hamilton, and Hamilton was the better team, although TFC won on penalties.

TFC offered him 4yr Napoli 1 same pay per year...highest ever in MLS history...TFC needs help...he is great but not enough...Criscito good addition as well but 35....MLS is becoming where the good pro players from Europe come to retire lol...and Im ok with that only way we get to see them...

He may be two weeks away from playing for TFC.

He's still nursing a calf injury that kept him out of the Azzurri against Germany.

I still don't get it. Footballers usually join MLS when they are 37 like Chiellini, not when they are 31.

It is hard to understand.

I doubt the money is the determining factor. Bale and Insignia would be paid plenty in Europe.

They must have decided that they have peaked and are on a downward track. No more ambitions.

It will take more than Insigne to make TFC into a powerhouse. I think first and foremost they need a better coach. I watched the TFC vs Hamilton game, and I thought the TFC players individually were better, but as a team not as good as Hamilton.

Agree...they need lots of Help but Insigne will help score and Crocisito is a solid D...i think they will sign another one soon...not a fan of coach or him playing his son for 90min...Bradley good player but for 20-30 min thats it. Really hope they get alot better soon...i have seasons and not to happy.

Bale was looking for a club to get quality playing time until the world cup. Many other lower seeded team could have pick him up. But a top level team would keep him on the bench most of the time.

The MLS is evolving. It's is not a retirement league anymore (except once in a while like Chieillini). More quality high player are coming after a stint in Europe. These players prefer the MLS to lower seeded European team. Or the opposite many young player develop here then go to Europe. As why Toronto? Because the city has an excellent reputation for the quality of life of the players.

I have not seen many TFC games, only the game in Hamilton and a couple of nights ago, I watched another game.
They are a long way from EPL and Serie A, hopefully they will get there one day.

I agree with Jimieboe about Bradley. He does not lose the ball, but I did not see him create anything.

Toronto has become the rich people's playground. I won't be able to retire and live in Toronto. I will probably have to move to a cheaper city like Calgary or Edmonton or retire in the Philipines or Vietnam.

Toronto is an International city of commerce and banking, no other team created as many open air events throughout the world than the Raptors got in 2019.

Too bad Kawhi didn't want to be a global ambassador. Vietnam, I like that Idea, I would love to be her Uncle Roger.

Make no mistake Saigon is the NYC of Vietnam, they have millionaires row (billionaires row NYC) which is a more expensive North American lifestyle living, have to live in less expensive places like Da Nang.

They are close by, I'd prefer Hue over Da Nang. Ancient Vietnamese capital and site of America's Stalingrad.
