Not if it's slang. In a dictionary yes, but proper for a formal paper - no, unless the context dictates otherwise.I guess the question is this.....if its in the dictionary, is it now proper english? If there is one thing the english language is, its constantly evolving. Its adda and subtracts words, phrases and acronyms all the time. If it was used in context, or in the form of a quote.......
