i think they should be fining people who catch covid ( not the elderly though) for not following the guide lines ..........99.9% businesses have been following the guide lines and they are told to close, unbelievable

The original post mentioned "mom and pop" shops, and I agree they need a significant amount of help.
"no tax to be paid"? Similar to blanket closures which are a one size fits all solution, paying no tax is a one size fits all response. Should businesses and companies operating at normal capacity or increased not pay taxes? For a majority of people in Ontario, covid has had no impact on their income. They are working from home and their finances are unaffected. I believe they should be paying taxes.
Whats interesting about that chart is that it clearly shows the covid numbers ramping up 2 weeks into September, about 1 week after schools reopened.
Imagine that.
John Tory's answer to that (the other day on CP24) was, "Well, we don't have the time to go out and measure all the gyms". I suspect that his answer would be similar for restaurants, lol.
Exactly! You're probably more likely to catch Covid in a busy Walmart or Costco than in a small store that lets in only 2 people at a time.

mass revolt and mass resistance can end the lockdowns. a salon owner said he will not close next week. if everybody remains open up they can't issue to fines to millions of people.

Yes I have had to go to the hospital for eye surgery. Im a bachelor so no kids at this point. Btw im not complaining about my tax bracket. I have worked very hard and will continue to work very hard to achieve my goals!
