Young put on a decent performance, and closed the show with a mob rendition of Keep On Rockin in the Free World. Alas, it was pretty clear that the ending of the song hadn't been rehearsed, because some of the musicians were working on opposite chords. Only the drummer was able to stop the train wreck and bring the thing to a conclusion.stainless said:missed Neil Young perhaps that was a good thing
You missed a good dozen acts.stainless said:Probably hitting the buffet table !
The London acts far outweighed anyone else. As far as the Barrie acts :
Tom Cochrane - his voice was shot
Dan Acykroyd - put on some beef !
Tom Green - big mouth / no talent
Tragically Hip - what kind of drugs is Gord Downey on ???
Celine Dion from Vegas - please, u know that was going to get booed
Deep Purple / Jet / Bryan Adams - all did solid jobs on getting the crowd going
missed Neil Young perhaps that was a good thing
I had been thinking along same lines, and am glad someone else was willing to be non-PC enough to pose this question. I mean, really, what is the deal with Africa? Where is the progress?KBear said:People have been throwing money at the children starving in Africa issue forever, and if anything, the populations have increased and situation has gotten worse. Forgiving debt sounds great, but what can be done to end this cycle? I don't think there is anything that can be done from the outside.
Would agree, was starting to think that people around the world watching the Canadian show would feel they have to start sending us money. The London show was impressive.Ben Hogan said:I was underwhelmed at the technical aspects of the Barrie show which were really obvious compared to London and other venues.
Here's the Sars Canadian Line-up.rubme said:What are u on????
Did you ever hear of teh Sars Fest?????
Now that was a Concert.. with Canadian Talent
The Guess Who, Rush others that are playing today as well.
This thing in Barrie is shit.
Thank God we get some acts from London...
Pink Floyd was Amazing, Paul McCartney, Elton John
U2 Sucks, maybe just because I don't like them
The funny thing.....
"We don't want Your Money" We want it from your Goverment..
Where in the FUCK do you think they get the money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll by the DVD as longs as it's not as bad as the Sars DVD.
That sucked if you were at the concert.
Nicely Done. I'd love to have a KU dish.zzap said:Having your own satellite dish... and I'm not talking about ExpressVu, DTV, or Dishnet, but a real dish with motor and Ku Band LNB you could have been watching the feeds live from Europe on.
AMC 9 @ 83 degrees west has 4 direct live feeds for Hyde Park, Rome, Berlin, and Paris.
11758(H) 24,500 SR
This is the feed that CTV was picking up for rebroadcast through there master control... watching the Hyde Park feeds was the best! And NO damn CTV commercials.... just the raw feed with very high quality video!!! There even was a HD feed… I just didn’t have a decoder for the HD side.. but even in SD it looked incredible
Thank you. A pity.torex said:Burton backed out last minute with laryngitis leaving Randy Bachman on his own.
I have three Pink Floyd songs on my DVD recording. That is all they did as far as I know.Fatshaft said:Bottom line.............cut from Pink Floyd's set to feed back to Barrie?????
Absolutely absurd!!!!
